The Corruption of Social Media and The Subversion of the Inner Revolution!
12/05/2015 Duração: 56minThis week, InsideOut is taking on the corruption of social media. We’ll share examples related to Freddie Gray and the Baltimore police protests, as reported by the Washington Post. But we could be looking at any of the other fabrications frequently going viral the internet. Why is this important? Because social media is our responsibility. It’s democracy’s answer to the monopolization of news, but when it’s abused, it subverts our efforts to create a better world. This week on InsideOut we’ll talk about how the misuse of social media corrupts the Inner Revolution and we’ll examine the part we play. Are we feeding negativity, gossip or feel-good fluff? Do we reserve judgment until we get facts? Do we spread unexamined statements serving only to feed our cherished opinions? Tune in, call in and talk about your relationship to social media. Let’s acknowledge the power of the tweet and start holding ourselves accountable for not debasing this great tool that has come into our hands.

If You Could Change Anything in the World, What Would It Be?
05/05/2015 Duração: 56minAnd let's talk about how to do it. Most of us spend a lot of time feeling discouraged. There are things we would like to change, but we are so convinced we can't, we don't even think about how we COULD.Today on InsideOut, we are going to continue with our theme of the Inner Revolution by asking ourselves what we would really like to change about our our lives and our world. And then we'll talk about how we could make it happen. The change could be something personal, such as the way we relate to our spouse or children. Or it could be something social, such as taking action about global warming or corporate behavior. Once we've identified what we want to change, let's think about whether these changes are already happening and how. And finally, let's plunge into the conversation about what we CAN do. Each caller or guest on InsideOut has a piece of the Inner Revolution. Let's start thinking about what we really want.

What Is the Inner Revolution and What Is Your Part?
28/04/2015 Duração: 56minOuter revolution focuses on confronting someone or something outside ourselves. Inner revolution focuses on confronting ourselves, healing ourselves and then helping co-create a world that is more humane, sustainable and mutually supportive. Our world needs nothing less than an inner revolution. We need to question everything: our personal assumptions, social and political institutions, ways of relating to one another and the earth, spiritual beliefs, healing modalities, the way we think and more. And we have to be willing to change it all. Once a social radical, host Beth Green is now an inner revolutionary. And she is calling us to join her. Are you part of the inner revolution? Do you want to see the world change from the inside out? There's no time for self-doubt and despair. If you want to see change in our world, tune in, call in and declare your participation in the inner revolution. Let's support one another to change ourselves, so that, together, we can change our world.

Do You See Signs of Greater Consciousness? Let Us Know!
21/04/2015 Duração: 56minHey, pals, listeners to InsideOut. We invite you to call in about experiences you’ve had or news articles you’ve read that suggest that humanity may be becoming more conscious. And by that, we mean more aware of our motives and our impact on others. We’ve been watching some interesting happenings, and we want to celebrate them. Yet we also want to be realistic. So give us some juice here. If you or those around you are getting more courageous, more self-aware, more honest or more willing to be held accountable, let us know! This could mean being more conscious about the environment, health or tendency toward violence, greed or fear. More conscious about how to love, parent or relate. We could be becoming less reactive. Any signs of consciousness, call into the show and tell us about it! We’ll share what we see, too. And, after the show, check out the InsideOut Forum (see the link on the right). Sometimes the fight feels hopeless. But if there’s something to celebrate, let’s do it.

Improve Your Life by Improving Yourself!
14/04/2015 Duração: 56minMany of us want to improve our lives -- the way we feel, our status in the world, the amount of love we receive, the beauty of our environment, our health, and so on. But how many of us want to improve ourselves? And by that, we don't mean improve just external things about ourselves, such as our education. We mean improve our inner selves -- our reactivity, our clarity, our self-discipline, our ability to give to others, our ability to be honest with ourselves and communicate clearly. Let's look at what it is that we want to improve about our lives and then look honestly at whether we're ready to improve ourselves to get there. For example, do you want to have better relationships, and are you willing to open your heart to have them? Do you want to improve your health, and are you ready to drastically change your diet and exercise to have it? What do you want to improve about your life? And what do you need to change in yourself to have it? Tune in, and call Beth so she can help you.

Does Humanity Have Too Much Power or Too Little?
07/04/2015 Duração: 56minIs this a trick question? Everybody knows that humanity has too much power -- the power to pollute the air, land and sea; to commit atrocities; to self-destruct with drugs and alcohol; the power of war and nuclear weapons; the power to destroy other species. Isn't it obvious that humanity has too much power? Well, maybe not. Maybe the problem isn't that humanity has too much power; rather that it has too little. Who are the bullies? those who feel powerless. Who are the terrorists? those desperate to feel potent. Who are the child abusers, the wife batterers, the molestors? Those who are trying to prey on the weak; those without power. Humanity needs power: the power of wisdom, the power of wholeness, the power of connection to the Divine. Let's talk about power: what it is and how to develop it. It's time to ask the heavens to open and shower power on humanity. Without more wisdom, we will self-destruct. Let's support real power developing on earth. Join us!

Compassion or Collusion? Which Describes Your Relationships?
31/03/2015 Duração: 55minWhether we’re friends, colleagues, employee/employer, lovers, or members of the same group, we have the opportunity to support each other’s growth or reinforce each other’s wrong thinking or behavior. We are all responsible to be self-aware, but we’re also responsible for confronting others when they are in denial or being needlessly mean or self-centered. Do we? In fact, how often do we go into agreement instead? When something important is at stake, such as love or a job, many of us tend to excuse and justify others’ behaviors to avoid some potential negative consequence. Maybe we don’t want them to get mad at us. Maybe we want to let them off the hook so they’ll do the same with us. Maybe we just don’t want to think about anything very deeply at all and so we don’t question anything. Sure, we want to offer others love, but compassion is not collusion. What is compassion? What’s collusion? And which are you choosing in your relationships? Tune in, or call in and ask Beth to help.

Ego or Consciousness: Does the Ego Always Win?
24/03/2015 Duração: 55minWe live in a world run by ego. Our business model is ego based. Our political system is the ego’s playground. Our religions have been hijacked. And even our personal relationships are riddled with ego. Most of us have seen ego win in our families and our world, and we’ve come to believe that the ego always wins! But it doesn’t. Some listeners want to know “what is the ego?” And some of you are shrugging your shoulders and saying that’s just the way it is. And some of you are upset that the ego seems to always win and you just want to go to the forest and escape. And some of you have a smile on your face because we’re calling the lie. Well, we’re smiling, too, because the ego doesn’t always win! So tune in, call in, learn more about the ego and tap into the power that can take its place. If we want the ego to stop winning, we’ll have to stop believing that it always does! Let’s break ranks with the ego and acknowledge the power of higher consciousness. Join us!

Kindness: When Is It Real? When Is It a Manipulation?
17/03/2015 Duração: 56minIn a recent workshop, a participant admitted that she's nice in order to get people to love her. Is that really kindness? Or is it manipulation? Have you ever been nice in order to get someone to like you? A popular kid at school? A good-looking guy or girl? An employer? Why did you do it? What was the result? How can you tell when your kindness is genuine vs. when it’s a manipulation? How does it feel when it happens to you? Host Beth Green says if you’re getting love through being “nice,” you’ll never feel loved. And if people are buying your love, your won't feel loved either. She says kindness and nice are not the same. In fact, she questions the whole paradigm of nice and not nice. Get in on the discussion. Let’s talk about kindness. Tune in, call in and ask Beth how to become more authentically yourself. After the show, “like” us on Facebook, share the link, and join the post-show (see link on the right.) Or don’t. And don’t do it just to be nice!

Do You Still Feel Excited About Life?
10/03/2015 Duração: 56minLots of us have felt excited at different times of our lives. Excited about a promising relationship, a new job, going to college, getting a first car, buying a house or having a baby. What happened to that excitement? Do you still feel it? Was getting excited a good thing, or did it set you up for disappointment? Do you still feel excited about life? If so, congratulations. If it’s gone away, where did it go? What is excitement? Is it even a good thing? Is it gone? Can you get it back? Host Beth Green is wondering about that herself, so she’s inviting you to tune in, call in and talk with her and the gang about excitement: what it is and how to keep it. This should be an exciting show. (Groan. Did we say that?) And don’t hesitate to call and ask Beth to help you gain or recapture that sense of excitement in your life. Or call to share YOUR excitement and how you’ve kept it. After the program, “like” us on Facebook, share the show, and join the post-show forum. See link on the right.

Power, Force & Foolishness: Developing the Kind of Power that Helps!
03/03/2015 Duração: 56minMost of us think our having power would be really cool – make more money, order people around, create the universe in the image of our beliefs and desires. Well, we’re not so sure that power is always a good thing. We are often hurt by the power of others, and we’re not sure that we have the wisdom to wield it properly ourselves. Let’s get honest. Are we that sure of our intentions, judgment or ability to make correct decisions for ourselves, much less for anyone else? In fact, isn’t power often dangerous because it’s uninformed and ego-based? But there is a kind of power that we can develop and really trust, and that is spiritual power. If you are interested, tune in. We’ll be talking about a different kind of power, which is real. We’ll talk about what it is, why we want it and how to develop it. Listen in, and call in if you can. Beth is always ready to help you develop your own spiritual power. That’s something we all need.

Is God Real? And Can She Help?
24/02/2015 Duração: 55minBeth Green says, who cares if God’s real? The important question is can God help? Now that doesn’t make sense, you might think. If God isn’t real, how can he/she/it help? Well, InsideOut host Beth Green is going to talk about her understanding of God and how “God” helps, whether or not he/she/it exists. And she is going to address lots of questions about divine guidance and the nature of divine help. If you’re curious and/or have an open mind, tune in. Beth has over 35 years of experience being an agent of higher consciousness, which she demonstrates every week on the show. And she’s ready to share her experiences with you. Call in with your questions and your experiences. Let’s make this another fun, challenging and enlightening show. And don’t forget the post-show forum (link on right), if you can’t make the live discussion.

Enter Mrs. God: An Exclusive Interview!
10/02/2015 Duração: 56minFolks, believe it or not, a press agent contacted InsideOut and offered us an exclusive interview with Mrs. God, and we grabbed the opportunity. The agent would not disclose any of the topics Mrs. God might want to discuss, but we were told that NOTHING was off limits. We’ve never heard her interviewed, but we’re going on faith (ha ha) that Mrs. God will be a very enlightening guest… although, actually, we thought we heard the voice of what sounded like a complaining old Jewish woman in the background, but we won’t let that dissuade us. If you have EVER wanted to know what is going on in the private life of Mr. and Mrs. God, tune into this show. And call in your questions. Might as well speak out loud. Mr. & Mrs. God will hear you anyway! Seriously, tune in, call in and let’s hear what the female side of God has to say. And after the show, join our post-show forum (link on right side of this page.) Don’t miss this show. It will be a once in a lifetime opportunity – probably

Why Do We Do Dumb Things?
03/02/2015 Duração: 55minTrue confessions. Beth has trouble sleeping. So what does she do? Wakes up in the middle of the night and frantically checks her email. Are You in Roles or Relationships? And Why It Matters!
27/01/2015 Duração: 56minWhat’s a role, and what’s a relationship, and how can you tell the difference? And who cares anyway? Many of us are in roles in our marriages, in our parenting and every area of our lives. Are we playing out an idea of how we should behave or are we genuinely relating? How does that impact all involved? When is it right to be in a role? With kids, mates, jobs? When is it toxic? Tune into this episode of InsideOut to explore these questions and face the issues. Will host Beth Green be in a role or in a relationship with her audience? Tune in, and find out. And feel free to call Beth on the show to discuss where you may be confusing the two or getting stuck. After the show, join the post-show forum (see link on right) to continue the conversation. By the way, you can now take advantage of 15 private minutes with Beth to get her guidance on any issue. Rage, Religion & Righteousness! How We Rationalize Violence!
20/01/2015 Duração: 55minViolence is the energy of separation. I am not YOU, and I can treat you differently. And we all use it. Many of us have been scared by the violence in France, the radical Islamic insurgency and terrorism at home. Of course we’re scared. If we are Muslim, we fear retribution. If we are not Muslim, we fear violence from those who have taken on the mantle of religion to terrorize others. But rage, religion and righteousness don’t start or end with Islam. People wrap themselves in the mantle of Christianity or even free speech in order to rationalize their rage, racism and violence. Political leaders use these stances for self-promotion. And all of us tend to try to hide our violence behind the stance of self-righteousness of some kind. We don’t like someone’s views or behaviors, and boom, they’re not human. Whoever you are, if you’re ready to get honest about all the ways we rage and what we use to justify our violence, tune in, call in and let’s get InsideOut together.

Who SAYS God Never Gives Us More than We Can Handle?
13/01/2015 Duração: 54minThis week, InsideOut is taking on yet another spiritual platitude that can make us crazy. The platitude is God never gives us more than we can handle. If that were true, we wouldn’t have so many suicides and broken people strewing the planet, hurting themselves and others. So let’s take this one on. What does it mean? Does “God” actually give us our experiences? Is there any truth to the statement? When is it a helpful way of thinking? When is it damaging? What actually does break us and what makes us grow? Let’s distinguish between the truth and the delusion. Let’s try to make everything into a growth experience, and yet let’s have compassion for ourselves and others when we break. Tune in, call in, and let’s continue getting more and more honest with ourselves. And check out the post-show forum via phone and internet. (See link on the right side of this page.) It’s 2015, the year we’re giving up delusional thinking. So join us!

April in Paris? Giving Up Delusions for the New Year!
06/01/2015 Duração: 56minOkay, so it’s not April, and for most of us it’s not Paris. So why the title? Because many of us are so delusional in our thinking that we might as well be announcing that it’s April in Paris. We kid ourselves about how nice, how smart, how much in love, how accomplished, how rich, how poor, how creative, how honest, how oppressed, how misunderstood and how whatever we are. And we really believe it. We also delude ourselves about how RATIONAL we are, how reasonable our reactions. And we delude ourselves about our capabilities – whether we exaggerate or minimize. What’s your biggest delusion about yourself? Why do you believe it, and are you ready to give it up? Join host Beth Green and co-host James Maynard as they bust through our delusional thinking. Tune in, call in and ask Beth to help you look at yourself. Life is so much easier when we’re in reality. So give yourself the gift of reality for the New Year! And use the link on the right of our hostpage to join our post show forum.
