Have you ever let someone down? Disappointment has a real knack of hamstringing us from doing things that God would have us do. However, Peter's story of disappointing Jesus gives us reassurance that Jesus wants to restore us. Past failures need not preclude us from future possibilities.

Throughout our lives there are people with whom we interact, places to which we go and pain we experience which cause us to draw a line in the sand for life thereafter about: Practices we chose to adopt, Promises we make to ourselves Principles by which we choose to live. Following Jesus is a line in the sand experience and radically changes the way we are to live our lives. Have you drawn your line in the sand?

Psalm 119 is the longest Psalm, and the longest chapter in the bible. From A-Z this psalm speaks of the perfect and powerful Word of God. This message takes a look at versus 9-16 and considers how we can be all that we were created to be by remaining pure and obeying His word.

In Jesus' Day, children had very little social worth. Jesus confronts that perception, and instead of meeting with adults, he spends time with children. Culturally, what Jesus was doing was very embarrassing, as evidenced by the way his disciples reacted. If we are to be followers of Jesus, we also must be prepared to be embarrassed for the sake of children, and be embarrassed for the sake of the Kingdom.

Along with the spiritual gifts listed in the New Testament, the gift of the church, the gift of christian community is a wonderful blessing from God. Not only does it enable us to feel the love and support of others, it enables us to work together to achieve the sort of kingdom fruit which would be impossible individually. True community, true fellowship requires participation!

You have heard it said that "it's the thought that counts" or "they meant well" but life cannot be lived by only having great intentions. Good intentions are either a great start or an excuse for what could have been. What would life look like if we lived in a way where our impact aligned with our great intentions? Jesus calls us to know the cost of following him and not only intend to give him our all, but actually give him everything!

Do you ever wonder what it would be like to see the world through God's eyes? What would we see each day if we were God, and how would it make us feel? The bible reveals that God sees all things, and is heartbroken about the injustice in the world. May we be intentional about seeing this injustice, and doing something about it.

The resurrection of Jesus means so many things. It means new life, it means restored relationships, it means a change of attitude from uncommitment to servanthood, it means acknowledging Jesus as #1, and sharing in his death and resurrection.
