The church in Forest Lake has very effective small groups and reflect Jesus' love in the way that they care for each other. However, the next season for this church is Spring, a season of growth. This church is being called to look outside themselves to share Jesus with their community.

There's nothing worse than a drink that's meant to be hot and it comes out luke warm. This is the same for us. Christ's letter to Laodicea and by implication to us today challenges us to be passionate in our faith, not relying on our possessions or reputations, but our relationship with Him. Revelation 3:14-22.

Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:4-9 Dad vs Wild... because that's how it should be. If Dads will not stand up and advocate, empower and protect their family against the wild world, it will be the kids vs the wild. God has given fathers a special role.

Revelation 3:1-6 The Church in Sardis looked like they were alive, but in reality, they were dead. Sometimes our lives can be just like the Church in Sardis. Jesus invites us to strengthen what is within us, and be overcomers.

Though praised for its genuine love, faith and service, the church in Thyatira was too tolerant of a 'Jezebel' in their midst who persuaded some in the church that they could have faith in Jesus as well as participate in immoral activities within trade guilds (unions). We need to choose Jesus alone and gain the benefits of His Union through practicing conditional tolerance, but unconditional love.

Revelation 2: 12-17 - Pergamum was known as the religious center of Asia Minor. The Christian church could not be eradicated so Satan worked to infiltrate the church with moral corruption. The challenge for the church in Pergamum is alive for the church today as we daily give ourselves in Worship to declare that Jesus is Lord - instead of all!

Scripture: Rev 2:8-11 Description: Jesus knew the suffering of the church in Smyrna, and he knows what we go through. He set firm limits around how much pain they would be subject to, and grants the ability to endure. He does the same for us today. If we are faithful, we can be victorious through every storm.

Revelation 2:1-7 captures John's letter to the church at Ephesus, which is a letter today to us in our church. God desires for us to write our life on a page of love, returning to our primary motivation. What is the spirit saying to you?

Revelation 1 -Revelation is one of the most poorly understood books of the bible, and because of that, we usually ignore it. However, in Revelation is the incredible story of Christians persevering through hard times, and God restoring heaven and earth.

We all have a story. Some parts of that story are good, some parts are bad, some are ugly. But its all our story. Jesus came to help us own our stories, learn from our mistakes, and help others with their stories.

he answer to the prayer of Jesus that his Kingdom come and his will be done incorporates the pursuit of reconciled relationships - between cultures, within cultures, within communities, within families, with ourselves and God. 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 confirms this is the ministry to which we have been called.

Ray suggests 5 key ways to grow in discipline. Increased discipline can in fact be freeing.
