When we look at our SHAPE for service to God and others, and examine the gifts given to us by God, it is also important to understand the difference aspects of God's nature. This double edge sword keeps us close to God through wisdom and obedience while at the same time pushing away doubt and fear. Why? Because the Word of God does not fail. Our minds are powerful. They are capable of remarkable feats. We can transplant organs-we can land people on the moon and we are capable of so much good. But when happens when our mind is under attack and our thoughts become destructive rather than constructive? What does it mean to walk in peace? How in a world of chaos do we manage to keep our peace? In the Bible the Apostle Paul used an illustration of a Roman Soldier's armour to explain an armour so much more powerful that we as believers receive as members of God's family. The Roman Solider could see their enemy but we deal with an enemy of our lives that we cannot see. We see the fruit of the enemy in the deception and destruction but we cannot physically see. This is why we need an armour from God who sees all and knows all. This armour allows us to live in peace and to stamp out any violation of our peace.
