In fact, the more it seems that that "investigation" was geared toward smearing Jean and blaming the victim in order to clear Guyger of any responsibility for her murderous actions. This week on the ACAB Radio Podcast #9 we had an update on the situation regarding a grand jury's "review" of charges against LVMPD Officer Kenneth Lopera, who murdered Tashii Brown one year ago at The Venetian Las Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip. As has been reported previously, the Clark County District Attorney's Office and Lopera's Las Vegas Police Protective Association lawyers have continued to stall and delay the grand jury decision by continuing the case until June. Also, we discussed incidents in which members of independent media have been targeted for exclusion from the courtroom during cases involving police officers. In this particular instance, Nissa Tzun of the Forced Trajectory Project (ForcedTrajectory.com) and Families United 4 Justice (FU4Jnetwork.org) was thrown out of the courtroom based on the fact the dress she was wearing was sleeveless. We discussed Metro's most recent officer involved shooting (OIS#6) in which yet another cowardly rookie cop opened fire on a member of our Las Vegas community. LVMPD Officer Wills shot his victim 7 times. The victim was a 34 year old woman named Sommer Richards. Our journey took us on various tangents as we discussed many issues including poverty & homelessness, the wealth gap in the US and in the world combined with the lack of social mobility, the death of the American Dream, and the importance of workers unions in light of the upcoming Culinary Union Strike Vote. The #ACAB Radio Las Vegas Podcasts Episode #7: On this show we discussed the Mother's Day Vigil for Tashii Brown (and other families impacted by police violence) that Families United 4 Justice held at the Bellagio Las Vegas and the silent march from there to the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, where Tashii Brown was murdered by LVMPD Officer Kenneth Lopera on Mother's Day 2017. Nissa Tzun of the Forced Trajectory Project (ForcedTrajectory.com) and Families United 4 Justice (FU4Jnetwork.org) discusses the upcoming May 13th "Justice for Tashii Brown / 1st Year Mother's Day Vigil." Tashii Brown was murdered by LVMPD Officer Kenneth Lopera on Mother's Day in 2017. While Lopera has since (only) been charged with Involuntary Manslaughter, a grand jury is currently reviewing those charges and potentially could decide not to uphold that indictment.

Some of the topics of discussion included the origins of May Day dating back to the Haymarket Massacre that took place in 1886 during a protest advocating for an 8-hour work day in Chicago. Additional topics included why it is one of the few genuine anarchist holidays, some of the reasons it is so underappreciated and misunderstood within the United States, and the fact that it is celebrated in virtually every other country across the world except here in the United States. We discussed the April 5th shooting of Junior Lopez by officers Mills and Rivera of the LVMPD. We went over some of the inconsistencies within the body camera footage they released. We also discussed claims made by eyewitnesses that the audio on those body cam videos may have been edited, as well as a recent case in which it has been proven that audio was in fact edited by the Boulder City Police Department on one of their dash cam videos. Also, we pointed out the way Metro misrepresented what happened during the traffic stop in which Lopez was shot at their press conference and within the YouTube description. After that we discussed the sentence Cop Block Network Co-Founder Ademo Freeman recently received in Ohio on marijuana related charges.
