Sinopse

Reva has always wanted to own her own platform/business in the online space. However, severe entrepreneurial anxiety coupled with fear of taking risks and anyone's inability to predict the future stopped her from being able to finally reach her goals. Reva believes that while online business experts are great when it comes to inspiration, those gurus are so far ahead in their business game that they are no longer relatable for the brand new business owner. It is Reva's mission to help you reach your goals, by challenging the subconscious by taking us out from living in the past to living in the present.

  • Ep 022 : Anxious Rebels Story - Living with Chronic Migraines w/ Ashley Cecere

    20/08/2018 Duração: 38min

Today's Anxious Rebels story is by Ashley Cecere. Ashley has had severe migraines for as long as she can remember and she walks us through her story and about how it can cause extreme anxiety for her because you just never know when it hits you. We talk about food anxiety as well and how this ties in because a lot of new-age medicine addresses diet as being a cure for migraines and how that just doesn't work for and in fact, may cause more frustration overall. The really big take away, in my opinion from this episode, is this. While it truly is difficult to communicate your symptoms some times with a medical professional, it helps to be educated, speak up and take responsibility for your treatment plan. You are entitled to speaking up when it comes to your treatment or lack thereof. • Ep 018 : It Doesn't Matter Why You Have Anxiety (really!)

    23/07/2018 Duração: 13min

Therapy today isn't all about sitting on a couch and talking about your childhood, your relationships & your dreams. In fact, in Reva's opinion, it isn't helpful at all. It makes people feel like they are trapped in the circumstances of their past - what good does that do? Yup, nothing. It's time to stop asking why you have anxiety and figure out coping mechanisms that work for you. One of the mechanisms that has worked really well for Reva is taking more responsibility in situations that cause a lot of anxiety. It's time to put you back in the driver's seat, baby!  FREE AUDIO DOWNLOAD: Is it Stress? Or do you have Anxiety? • Ep 017 : Doing It All Is A Socially Acceptable Form of Perfectionism

    16/07/2018 Duração: 22min

In his book, Finish (which I address a couple of times during this episode), Jon Acuff says that time is a finite source. We can either a. Attempt more than is humanly possible and fail b. Choose what to bomb and succeed at a goal that matters There are plenty of people out there hiding behind wanting to do it all. Only then, will the success be validated and worth it.  We are going to dive into how doing it all can and most likely, will lead to more anxiety, overwhelm & frustration and leave us further away from our goals than we'd expect. • Ep 013 : The Self Fulfilling Prophecy Concept (it sounds like a good thing, but it isn't)

    27/06/2018 Duração: 16min

In today's episode, we talk about the self-fulfilling prophecy concept. It has psychologically been tested and proven that our thoughts impact our feelings and actions. Since we choose to behave, unknowingly in ways that our minds think, we need to reassess every thought that goes through our brains - negative begets negative. Positive begets positive.  Mind Reva comes back to haunt us with her nasalness (her debut was in Episode 2) and she reminds me how annoying she actually is. She's truly the worst.  Re-linking to my episode about Self sabotage - it is one of the ways we really seal the loop of a negative self prophecy Most importantly, I leave you with a tried and tested method on how to bust out of a negative loop, so that you can retrain your brain to work FOR you, vs YOU for it.  Hit the subscribe button on top so that you get notified when a new episode drops!  Come hang out with me on the 'gram: @mintchiprebel

  • Ep 012 : How to Embrace Pivoting in your Entrepreneurial Journey w/ Meg Brunson

    25/06/2018 Duração: 32min

One of my biggest concerns when I started Mint Chip Rebel was wondering what people would think. I wondered if I would be judged for starting yet another venture when I wasn't able to take my prior on to success.  Meg Brunson is a former Facebook employee turned solo business owner. While employed at Facebook, Meg expanded her knowledge and experiences, while maintaining her ability to simplify material so that bootstrapped businesses could promote like pros. The desire to be more present for her family (including 4 young daughters) influenced her decision to leave Facebook and return home to a life of entrepreneurship, where she currently leverages her insider secrets to help small businesses turn their Facebook Pages into profits. Meg talks about how her past entrepreneurial ventures and how trying different options brought her closer to something she is truly passionate and loves doing. We talk about how to be more social on social media and how knowing your why, especially in

  • Ep 011 : How to Navigate Self Sabotage (because it's going to happen!)

    20/06/2018 Duração: 23min

I keep telling myself that I should shift from focusing less on me in these podcasts. But, you should all know by now, that I love to talk! In all seriousness though, the reason why I like sharing my stories about battling anxiety with you is because anxiety can make someone feel very isolated. It can make you feel like you're the only one crazy enough to take great opportunities and blow them up completely. And this episode will show you how NOT true that is. At the end of 2017, I took a perfectly fantastic opportunity to be a podcast guest on On Air With Ella and totally self sabotaged that opportunity.  More importantly, I walk you through what I did once I dug a little deeper to understand why I did what I did.  Losing or lacking control is every anxious person's nightmare. The cool thing about life is you can find ways to take control - it's a little unorthodox and takes a little effort. But, the end result was worth it.  Go listen to Ella's podcast: On Air With Ella Come ha

  • Ep 009 : Are You Born an Entrepreneur Or Can You Learn to Be One?

    11/06/2018 Duração: 13min

In today's episode, we talk about whether someone is born an entrepreneur or whether it is actually a skill that can be learned. I recently took to learning more about the Entrepreneur mindset, and when stalking (what? You do it too) my self-proclaimed mentors, I noticed that they had this one thing in common. They've had this thing called the "entrepreneurial spirit" for as long as they can remember. Which is why it got me thinking - are those that are born with this spirit the only ones who can be successful? And are the same people touting motivational quotes such as, "Work Hard & Dream Big," totally yanking my chain? Let me walk you through some of the key characteristics it takes to be an entrepreneur and whether these skills are something you're born with, or something you can actually learn.  Join the Anxious Rebels Community for an awesome place to talk openly about your struggles and learn practical tips to overcome your anxiety - The Anxious Rebels Community Follow me on the 'gram: @mintchi
