The main topic this week is all about the announcement that Sulu is gay.  We talk about George Takei's reaction. We talk about the importance of normalizing gay relationships in media and how Star Trek will hopefully move every body forward as it has always done in that past. We talk a lot about sexuality this episode and we bring up bisexuality & the erasure of it.  John Boyega teased romance for Episode 8 - WHO WILL IT BE???? We know who we want. In the end we get really sappy talking about what we've learned since we started podcasting.

    This week on digging diversely we invite broadway actor Dan Horn to share some of his experiences working on a few different broadway shows.  We talk about swinging, stilts, and sharing a special moment with Lea Solanga during a quick.  Dan talks about Bullets Over Broadway and Cinderella.  We talk about his most terrifying swing experience, weirdest audition request, and working on Allegiance with George Takei.  We discuss getting a change to learn about a part of American history that isn't talked about very much.  We also mention Dan's "long flowing hair" from many years ago.  Dan plays "guess this musical" where Jacqui plays a small clip of a show and he has to guess what it's from.

We go through and discuss what Disney does with each individual princess, and we end with "Does this pass the Bechdel Test?" We might mention Sebastian Stan, we might not (we definitely do).
