Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Ify's passion is to bring a fresh and modern perspective to the African tradition of storytelling through design and fabric. Her print designs challenge you to look at the old with new eyes, juxtaposing ancient symbols with modern day objects. Drawing influences from the shared experiences of women, the characters on each fabric design is brought to life with a socially-conscious message in the form of commentary, advice or life observations, which are written on the selvage of each fabric.
