Writers & Authors on Fire is the podcast and website to inspire and ignite your writing. You’ll hear interviews with writers, authors, editors, agents, and publishers; monologues about writing and the craft of writing; tips on writing and how to get the most out of writers conferences; updates on the ever-changing publishing world; book reviews; reviews of writing tools; and more. Our aim is to inspire you to keep on writing, to master the submission process, and get your writing published.The podcast episodes of writers and authors will feature an in-depth section of their writing journey, motivators, challenges and successes, goals, learnings, and genre specify questions; and a lighter section highlighting their writing process. Episodes with editors, agents, and publishers will feature questions and material specific to their roles in writing and publishing. Each show will feature a "show notes" page with key highlights of the interview, links to their website and books, and more.The goal of the podcast is for you to listen, learn, be inspired, and then write.

Out of that experience she wrote a powerful book, Breaking Into My Life: Growing Up with a Bipolar Parent and My Battle to Reclaim Myself. The book took four years to write. Her story shares the struggles and what she learned from it. She found a writing coach to help her make the story the best it could be. In this interview we talk about her experience with her mother, having a parent who is bipolar, why she wrote the book, her experience with the writing coach, and more. Michelle loves talking to student about the challenges of mental illness, knowing that some of them may have the same struggles. Her goal is to raise awareness and compassion for those struggling with mental illness along with those who care for them, so that more people get the treatment and help they need and deserve.

Shadia's first book, Nameless No More, was about having an abortion, and Worthy of Love is a Bible study based on it. Going to seminary helped prepare her to write Bible studies. Hagar is the first book in a series of Bible Studies.

His desire to write grew out of his leading a purity group, which he lead for over ten years. He had written some articles about purity that got him published. When Live Pure and Free was published, he began to speak on the topic. We talk about the components of a devotional book, how the writing has to be tight and concise, improving your writing, issues with writing difficult topics, and much more.

Craig has authored five books. He's a natural encourager and in this interview he encourages writers. We talk abut several of Craig's books. Craig gives a great example of how authors need a strategy to be successful in publishing. Craig talks about beta readers, time as a challenge including time wasters, creating content for online magazines, and turning books into screenplays. Then finally, we spend time talking about ways to build an effective author platform.

Preston. He writes in the science fiction genre with a little bit of thriller thrown in, mainly in the Christian speculative fiction niche. He has spent the past four year working on his project and learning about the world of publishing. He initially had written Harvest of Prey first and decided to relaunch it as The Gevaudan Project. He tightened up the text, changed the cover, developed a marketing launch plan, and started a blog. Preston's writing time is pretty structured. He has learned a lot about connecting with other like-minded writers, using minimalistic language and letting dialogue stand-alone and keeping the pacing going. This is an excellent interview with an author who wrote a book and learned he how to make it better to increase his chances of success

Colleen Kelly Alexander is a motivational speaker and author, and an amazing athlete. Her inspirational story is about how she survived the trauma of being run over on her bike by a Freight-liner truck. She had over 78 units of blood and CPR in the trauma bay. The people who worked on her are her heroes. In the interview we talk about the heroes around us, how she wrote the book, her motivation to keep going, and more. After all this she run and cycles and does triathlons. She gives her medals to her heroes and new heroes she meets. Her book Gratitude in Motion: A True Story of Hope, Determination, and the Everyday Heroes Around Us is about her story of surviving trauma and honoring the heroes around her.
