Episode 67 - Bjorn Hammoser
22/03/2026 Duração: 01h01minBjorn joins us to talk about his many varied interests from music to drama to programming and robotics. He talks about being spotted on more than one occasion on different beaches around town and his new interest in Jazz music. He is also looking forward to new heights as he may be joining a lumberjack show at Grouse Mountain in the summer. Bjorn played Lurch, the butler, in Delview's production of the musical, "The Addams Family" and describes some of the backstory he created in order to make the role more interesting. There are plenty more stories in this episode with the always-fascinating Bjorn. Mr. Yuill joins us for this one with a brief intermission at the start of the episode as we search for the source of some bird chirping sounds. You have to listen to understand!

A Gemini Award winner whose extensive resume includes anchoring Sportsnet Central, providing commentary on The Score, Sportsnet 650, and TSN, and recent play-by-play work for the Abbotsford Canucks and PWHL Vancouver Goldeneyes, James has covered it all. She competed in the University Games - an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience where she was one of only a select few athletes chosen to represent Canada in taekwondo. Sofie joins Mr. Yuill and me to dive into how the sport has shaped her, how it’s pushed her, and what it means to now be coaching the next generation. We also get into how all of these experiences inspired her path into teaching and what she’s learned along the way. We’ll miss having her around, but we can’t wait to welcome her back as a colleague soon!

She tells us about how she got started and the ups and downs of running a side business while she begins a career as a dental hygienist. Kacie also talks about her battle with Crohn’s disease. It’s an inspiring and illuminating conversation with an amazing person. Mr. Yuill co-hosts and lends his wisdom to this episode.

I never taught Annabelle but she spent a great deal of time auditing the Engineering course.

We talk about how hard work and persistence paid off even though she had to take her coursework online during the pandemic. Dayanara went from working and managing a popular Disney Store to animating for a Disney show. We talk about her creative process and the collaboration that takes place on an animation team as well as some of our favourite animated films and shows.

Over the five years she's been at Delview, she's participated in many Fine Arts Nights, and has produced posters, logos, book covers, social media art, and plenty of whiteboard masterpieces that were painful to erase. She has been practicing for a long time and hopes to continue creating and sharing her art in some form or another into the future. In this episode, we talk about Han's life, art, and the future of art. We also discuss the advent of AI and what that means for artists. Kassie Lind co-hosts this one. We are at Episode 50!!! We've had almost 8 great years so far and hope for many more to come. We chat about the process of designing a set, the film business, and how she worked towards something she’s always wanted to do since she was a little kid.
