This is an important story for me to share and one that I don't think get's told enough. • My birth Story

    01/05/2018 Duração: 39min

Welcome to the re-launch of the Powerful Questions Podcast!! Thank you to everyone that keeps asking . . . "when are you going to put out another episode?" You have inspired me to get back to the mic and I am so excited to connect with you on this platform again.  It has been a really long + much-needed break.  A six-month break in fact.  A lot has changed in my life and my business.   In this episode, I set intentions for the re-launch.  The stories I will share, how often and how . . . how is really the BIG shift.  In the past, I wrote out the whole episode before I even laid down any audio.  Basically, I wrote a blog and then read it to you.  It's not an uncommon practice for many podcasters, but it wasn't really working for me.   I decided I wanted to challenge my own voice and speak from the heart.  This is much harder than you may think.  I am an un-self-proclaimed perfectionist.  I am a Virgo sun and Virgo ri

  • Everything You Need to Know About Vision Boards with Carrie Lindsey

    21/09/2017 Duração: 34min

This week I welcome Carrie Lindsey to the program.  Carrie is an entrepreneur who runs her own website www.carrieelle.com/, designs a successful line of planners, and author of the upcoming book Make Anything Happen: A Creative Guide to Vision Boards, Goal Setting, and Achieving the Life of your Dreams which will be released on Amazon this coming June.   After her daughter was born Carrie began writing a blog as an outlet for adult contact. At first, she was just really waiting for her friends and relatives, but she was consistently publishing and improving her work and marketing. Soon she was learning more about blogging, taking courses, and attending conferences about how to improve.   This can-do attitude also lead her to create a meal planner after she couldn't find one with a tear-away grocery list online.  She bought some printing equipment and some specialty paper, took a few pictures, and assembled her own planner.   Then she listed it on Etsy, sold her first product within

  • 6 Signs Fear is Running Your Business

    25/07/2017 Duração: 21min

This episode marks a shift in both my coaching business and this podcast as I've been focusing much more on passion and purpose in my work as a mindset coach and business coach.     Today we are going to talk about fear and the exact tools I use to get myself out of the fear mindset.  These are some of the same tools I suggest for my clients as a business coach and life coach.     Specifically, we going to talk about how fear can be subtle and work its way into the work of an entrepreneur or solopreneur.  Notice I said subtle, so today I won't be talking about obvious fears like public speaking or finally dropping the day job.       By the end of the episode, you'll learn how to How to maximize your time on social media How to have effective sales conversations How to attract your ideal clients How to manage your time as a business owner   That's a lot of how to's!  But seriously this episode is full of so many good nuggets. I could (and w

  • Jen Quade - Begin with Breath Part 2

    29/05/2017 Duração: 25min

Hi, this is Jenner Linden mindset coach in business + life and host of the Powerful Questions Podcast.   In this episode, I welcome back Jen Quade for part two of our discussion.  You can check out the first part of our discussion here.    Over time Jen began working less and less at the hospital and more with her personal clients.  After she began working out of her home and launched her website she was booked out for three months!    She credits her success to following her intuition and traveling to Belize.  If you are interested in improving your own ability to listen to and follow your own intuition she suggests a three-part process: breathe, listen and write.  Meditation and journaling can be very powerful in this area, and so can finding a community of like-minded thinkers.    Jen shares a helpful piece of advice from a Buddhist meditation teacher, that meditation isn't really about "shutting the mind off" for a while, but inste

  • Jen Quade //Begin with Breath - Part I

    22/05/2017 Duração: 27min

This week I welcome one of my beautiful friends, Jen Quade to the show.  She is a holistic nurse who runs a woman-centered practice here in Minneapolis focusing on mind-body-spirit work.    This is the first of a two-part episode because our conversation was just so good!  We talk about: Her experience growing up in a very masculine environment Her life-changing trip to Brazil Breath work Mayan abdominal massage   Jen feels that our culture—as a whole—Is a masculine culture.  So her experience of growing up as a tomboy on a farm and eventually becoming establishing a woman-centric practice with uterine massage and feminine movement has some powerful lessons for all women.    She sees her work as "building a bridge" for other women who are also looking to trust their intuition and build community.   After a spot opened up in an oncology class, Jen took a deep dive into holistic healing.  Several opportunities arose and she found herself studying ways to calm

  • What do I want to be when I grow up?

    26/04/2017 Duração: 08min

Welcome back!  We've been diving pretty deep for the past couple of episodes getting real with ourselves and making some big decisions. So this time we're going to keep it light.  This week's question is:    What do I want to be when I grow up?   This week I want you to approach the question from the perspective of your younger self.  How did you see your life going?  I want you to write down the details.    Did you imagine the kind of house you would live in?  The city you'd live in?  And don't just focus on the kind of job you thought you'd have.  Try to remember all of the details you dreamed up as a kid.    For this week's exercise, I'd like you to grab a pen, a piece of paper and write down everything that comes to mind.  And don't stop.  This week I have created a free workbook with several prompts to help you explore this question.     Get Jenner's FREE workbook    For me, this exercise brought back some

  • Worried about change? How to make the right decision with confidence

    13/04/2017 Duração: 09min

In this episode, I discuss the process I have used with one of my life-coaching clients who was feeling disillusioned with her choice to pursue a degree. Essentially, she is wondering if it is time to make a change in her life.    As a life coach, this is one of the key questions I see time and time again. People come in the door asking "How do I know I am ready for a change?" even if they aren't aware that is their deeper question.   I recorded this episode on a spring day in Minnesota when the Lilac bushes were just starting to bud. I love lilac bushes! They are so beautiful and smell so wonderful! They are also a sign of spring.   Who doesn't love the warmer weather and a new beginning? When we first moved to Minnesota I was excited to have this Lilac bush in my front yard, but it was fall so I had to wait nearly six months to enjoy them. That first spring the tree only had two bunches of flowers.   Download Jenner's workbook to make your mission statement   It turned out

  • Uncovering the truth of what is REALLY important to you

    07/04/2017 Duração: 10min

I hope you are enjoying the podcasts so far! I'm having a blast talking about my work as a life coach and encouraging people to work with these powerful questions, to keep seeking, and to "stay with the question." If you haven't already,  I encourage you to go back and listen to the first episode where I explain exactly how questioning can improve your life.   Today's question is: What is the Most Important Thing to You?   On the surface, this question appears simple and most people have a knee-jerk response. However, this is a perfect example of why I tell my listeners and life-coaching clients to stay with the question. I've found that people first, knee-jerk response is rarely ever what the most important thing in their life is true.   I was recently listening to an episode of the Tim Ferris podcast featuring Debbie Millman. For decades, Millman had thought that the most important thing for her was making it as a designer. But after some self-reflection, she re

  • Get Inspired with Janelle Kalander Part 2

    07/04/2017 Duração: 21min

This episode is second in a two-part series with my guest Janelle Klander, host of The Badass Spiritual Warriors podcast.  Janelle is a dynamic teacher, healer, and ritual master guiding people toward spiritual expansion and authentic living.   If you haven't listened to part one of this interview, I suggest listening to it first.   We discuss her number one tool for overcoming anxiety How she felt like an outsider in her own country after living in Spain for two years What she had to let go of to make HUGE changes in her life Her bathroom floor moment and how she overcame it to help others and so much more.     In this episode, we talk about the origins of her company, the question that changed everything for her, and how to afford a personal growth lifestyle, and the role of fear in entrepreneurship.   Janelle had reached a point where she was ready to go "all-in" on her healing business and found that her boldness was one of the unique traits she brought to spirituality

  • Get Inspired with Janelle Klander Part 1

    05/04/2017 Duração: 24min

In this episode, I welcome my first-ever guest, Janelle Klander, host of The Badass Spiritual Warriors podcast.  Janelle is on a mission to inspire people to live authentically.  She is a ritual master and a dynamic teacher who guides spiritual expansion.   Our interview was so wonderful that I had to split our interview into two episodes.  In the first half, we talk about Janelle's #1 tool for overcoming depression and anxiety. Also, she talks openly about her reverse culture shock experience upon returning to the United States after living in Spain for nearly two years. When she returned to the Midwest after living in Spain Janelle found herself questioning everything in her home culture.  This sudden shift lead to clashes with her family, disharmony with her friends, and a general loss of purpose.  Janelle began exploring Buddhist meditation, Reiki, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and energy work.  Janelle found that these alternative approaches produced fa

    05/04/2017 Duração: 12min

Hi, I'm Jenner Linden, a life coach from Minneapolis.  I'm back with my second episode of the Powerful Questions podcast, and this time we consider what it means to live an authentic life.  If you are just joining us I'd recommend that you start by listening to my debut episode where I introduce myself, my work as a life coach, and why I think it is so important to "stay with the question" and not just accept immediate answers.  You can find the first episode here Let me ask you this: Are you waking up each morning excited to start the day?  Do you have relationships that inspire your growth?  Do you fall asleep each day grateful for all that you had the chance to experience? Or.. do you struggle to get out of bed in the morning?  Do you dread the work day and find yourself surrounded by people who don't share your values.  Are you holding out for the weekend that never seems long enough? If you are in the first group, then I want to give you a virtual high five&

  • Discover Who you Truly Are

    02/04/2017 Duração: 17min

Hi, I'm Jenner, a life coach in Minneapolis who helps people get exactly what they want out of life.  I've been thinking for a long while about how to best share my work through a podcast, and I'm finally ready to take the plunge!  I hope you love it. I'm excited to share this debut episode of The Powerful Questions Podcast with you because I know that asking the right questions leads my clients to a point where transformation is not only possible, it's inevitable.  And I have a knack for asking the perfect question. I begin the podcast with a story from 10 years ago when I was feeling stuck.  I decided I needed a change, so I moved across the country to California. But after awhile the only thing that changed was the scenery.  Eventually, I decided enough was enough and set out to find the tools I need to make a real change.   Download my FREE meditation, "I am"  to go along with today's podcast episode.    Sometimes I just can't believe the transformations I
