  • You Don't have to walk this alone - Audio

    20/03/2026 Duração: 19min

You don't have to walk this alone. Hey family, what if church wasn’t just a service, but a place of real connection? What if needs were noticed? What if prayer was normal? What if people stayed after the service because relationships actually mattered? So many of us are surrounded by people yet still long to be seen, heard, and understood. The good news is that God’s design for the church was never intended to be a weekly event; it was always meant to be a community. This Sunday, Pastor Chris will speak honestly about loneliness and the kind of church God designed from the very beginning. If you have been feeling disconnected, overlooked, or unseen, we invite you to join us. We meet at 10 a.m. at 360 Schermerhorn St., and Kids' Church starts at 10 a.m. as well. --Edwin ANNOUNCEMENTS: Palm Sunday, March 28, 10 a.m. Good Friday, April 3--Doors open 5:30 p.m., service 6 p.m., dinner to follow Easter Sunday, April 5, 10 a.m.

  • I Can't Do It On MY Own - Audio

    13/03/2026 Duração: 39min

Hey family, this Sunday we'll be looking at the powerful truth that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. The Apostle Paul writes that it's possible to have passion and zeal for God, yet still miss the righteousness that only God can provide. We'll explore the danger of trying to establish our own righteousness...and the good news that salvation is not something we achieve through our own efforts. Our speaker will be Rob Lambert, and I hope to see you with us at 360 Schermerhorn, 10 a.m. on Sunday! Kids' Church starts at 10 a.m. as well.--Edwin IMPORTANT: Take public transportation if at all possible to avoid the Brooklyn Half Marathon, which will snarl car traffic in our vicinity.

  • Romantic relationships Matter - Audio

    07/03/2026 Duração: 40min

Your romantic relationships matter--plus Daylight Savings Time Hey family, someone once said that one of the key ways to invite heaven into your life is to marry the right person, and one of the key ways to invite hell into your life is to marry the wrong one. The speaker wasn't using "heaven" and "hell" in a theological sense, but nevertheless they were getting across a powerful point. Being with the wrong person is painful, and not knowing how to navigate relational dynamics can be really painful. Last week we talked about what the Bible says about being a wife. This week we're going to talk to the men and ask them to man up. We have some great instruction for the men about being better husbands--and for the women who listen in, it will help in being better wives. Bring a friend! We meet at 10 a.m. at 360 Schermerhorn St. Kids' Church begins at 10 a.m. as well. Announcements * Daylight Savings Time begins tomorrow! Don't forget to move your clocks an hour later before you go to bed tonight.

  • Church Stinks - Audio

    21/02/2026 Duração: 36min

Hey family, many of us stopped going to church when we were younger because of that very perception--church folks stink. And in many cases, the church deserves it. We've been dysfunctional or we've hurt each other. And as a result, many of us have just recently started to come around again. In our current series in the Book of Colossians, we're learning how the new identity we gain as part of the family of Christ affects everything in our lives. In the next few weeks we're going to talk about what it means to relate to our spouses, our kids, our work, our friends as part of our new identity. You don't want to miss it. (If you do miss a service, catch up on our YouTube channel. Here's the link.) We meet at 10 a.m. at 360 Schermerhorn St. Children's Church for kids ages 4-12 meets at 10 a.m. as well. --Edwin Important announcement: There will be an important congregational meeting immediately after service on Sunday, March 1. If you care about the future of this church, please plan to join us on that day. T

  • Pulpit Swap - Audio

    14/02/2026 Duração: 25min

Hey family, every now and again, when churches work together, they have an opportunity to be able to influence each other and help each other grow in the kingdom of God. That's been happening with our church, and tomorrow morning it's happening in an interesting way. We're having a pulpit swap. Pulpit swap is when a pastor comes from another church and I go to their church and they preach in our church and I preach in their church, and we hope that all the people are blessed as a result. So this Sunday we want to welcome David Lee, pastor of First Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn. We're excited to have him at our church, and I'm excited to go preach at his church. Please come! Bring and friend and hear the gospel! We meet at 10 a.m. at 360 Schermerhorn in downtown Brooklyn. Kids' church starts at 10 a.m. as well for children ages 4-12. --Edwin

  • What every healthy relationship needs - Audio

    08/02/2026 Duração: 38min

What every healthy relationship needs Hey family, there's something that every healthy relationship needs--that if it doesn't have, everything crumbles and falls apart. If this component doesn't exist in your relationship, you can know that you are either on the road to breakup, or in for a really long and painful journey. What is this component? Forgiveness. This week we're going to talk about what it means to forgive in the family of God, and how that overflows and translates into our relationships. No matter what happens, we're going to need to be forgiven, we're going to need to forgive. Let's learn how to do that together. Bring your family, bring a friend, bring your dog! (Well, maybe not your dog.) We meet at 10 a.m. Sundays at 360 Schermerhorn St. Kids' Church starts at 10 a.m. as well for children 4-12. And if you missed a sermon, visit our YouTube Channel here to catch up. --Edwin

  • People who need people - Audio

    31/01/2026 Duração: 42min

Hey family, there's a famous song that goes, "People who need people are the luckiest people in the world." Barbra Streisand reached #1 on the Billboard chart with those lyrics, and the song became a cultural phenomenon. And Barbra was right. We all need other people. The problem is that when we come into Christian community, we bring with us our own biases and struggles, family issues, and all of that. How can we get along better with our spouses, our family, our church family? Coming this Sunday, we're going to talk about the importance of community and how the Bible instructs us to get along. We meet at 10 am at 360 Schermerhorn St.--bring your kids and grandkids! Children's Church starts at 10 a.m. as well. And if you missed last week's message, here's a link. Take a listen and share it with others. --Edwin

  • Sons and Daughters of the Most High - Audio

    16/01/2026 Duração: 39min

Hey family, perhaps you've heard one of those wonderful fairy tales where a peasant girl finds out that she's actually the princess of the kingdom. The job of her caregivers is to teach her to walk like a princess, speak like a princess, act like a princess in every way. It's just the same when we're called by the King and adopted into the family of God. In this new family God gives us his Spirit and new life and forgiveness of sins and then he trains us and teaches us and encourages us to be who we are: sons and daughters of the Most High God. This week we're going to talk about how this powerful truth affects every area of our lives. I hope to see you Sunday. We meet at 360 Schermerhorn St. in downtown Brooklyn. Bring a friend, bring your family, bring your kids! Children's Church starts at 10 a.m. also. And don't forget--you never need to miss a sermon again. You may never have dipped into this scripture, but on Sunday you will learn how powerful it is. If you are a member, it's so important that you attend that meeting and cast your vote. I look forward to seeing you at 10 a.m. Children's Church will start at 10 as well. --Edwin

Hey family, this Sunday, Pastor Rob Lambert will be speaking on the rise and fall of King Solomon, whose rule began with a great gift from the Lord but who eventually turned away from God and fell into pride, idolatry, and disobedience.
