There are so many misconceptions when it comes to sculpture. Most believe that every single piece must become a masterpiece, A finished piece. However I love the idea of thinking of my sculpture as a sketchbook. Sculpting with the idea of just sketching and having fun with it. Have you felt or heard that demon on your shoulder that whispers horrible thoughts into your ear? On this weeks episode I will share with you that monster and how to fight back and stay focused on overcoming him.  I use Amy Purdy as a reference in my sculpture today and have her flicking off the demon on her shoulder as she has many times before when they told her to give in or give up. A tear shed stains the cheek while a tear held back stains the soul. Take some time to really feel your emotions and to let them out.
