In this sermon, we take a look at the reality that Jesus was truly human and demonstrated a life of righteousness. But why did He have to become human? Why did He have to suffer? And how was the virgin birth possible?

This sermon begins the series on Breathing Room. We all struggle with the business of life and how to mange it allowing one of the most important aspects of the Christian journey to get pushed aside. We need time with Jesus if we are to live a productive life for Him.  How can we better mange our time so we can live it to the fullest?  

As we begin this Christmas series, we look at the God man of Christmas and how His coming made breathing room for our relationship with God. This contrasted the rules and regulations that the Rabbis put on the people in order to be "right"with God.  

In this sermon, we take a look at Peter's warming to be on the look out for Satan's attacks on our lives. Peter tells us that Satan is like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour! We are not be paranoid as we walk through out day, but expectant of his antics to try and derail us.

Peter encourages us to throw our concerns and anxieties on Jesus, because He cares for us. So what does this look like in everyday life and what is the difference between the world's peace and Jesus' peace?

One of the hardest areas of the Christian life is humility. Peter instructs us to cloth ourselves with humility so that the church and the Gospel will go forward. In this sermon, we look at why it is important to live out this lifestyle and how we are to do it.

When it comes to firey trials and tribulations, as Christians we always want to suffer for the right reasons! Peter encourages us not to suffer for wrong living, but for the cause of Christ. Those who are without Jesus may seem to be getting away with their disobedience, but in the end they will face an eternal fire that will never go out. Text: 1 Peter 4:15-19

As we go through life, we face trying times that often cause us to be frustrated and some that cause great pain. In this sermon, we look at the reality that we should not be surprised at the fiery trials we go through, but expect them. Peter encourages us to be "blessed" by these trials, because it is during these times that we grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus and we participate in His sufferings.

As Christians, we are to believe that Jesus is coming back to get us one day! The real question is, "Do we LIVE like He his coming back some day?" In this sermon we look at 5 of the 10 encouragements that Peter gives us to live out the rest of our days as we wait His return. Text: 1 Peter 4:7-11

"Today is the first day of the rest of your life"…but TODAY is all you have! When it comes to daily living, are people supreised by your life? Is your life lived so differently from this world that people might call you "strange?" Peter encourages us to live in such a way that people "could" make fun of you because of the evidence of Jesus in your life.

When it comes to suffering, Jesus is our model for the proper attitude in our suffering. At the end of suffering, there is blessing and knowing this helps us remember the journey we are on is temporary and not forever!  1 Peter 3:18-22

In this sermon, we look at the instruction to suffer well as we face unjust suffering. Our attitudes toward suffering should be our testimony about the reason for our hope. Our hope in Jesus helps us persevere and allows the world to see our faith in the midst of trap and tribulation.  1 Peter 3:13-17

In this passage, Peter encourages us to be like-minded, sympathetic, love one another, compassionate and humble. He encourages us not to repay evil with evil or insult with insult. These are common struggles we face as we strive together to accomplish the Great Commission in church life. Text: 1 Peter 3:8-12

When it comes to church membership, one of the great aspects of being a part of a church family is protection. Areas of protection that we need is knowing scriptural truth, knowing how to walk with Jesus and knowing we have community with other believers. This sermon expounds on these three areas and helps understand the importance of each one.

One thing we do not see in the N.T. church is scripture pointing us to "island" living when it comes to our faith walk. Walking with Jesus requires face time with Him and face time with others. We all need to be accountable to how we live our lives and allowing others  to point is the right direction when we steer of course. This sermon affirms the fact that accountability is both scriptural and necessary.

When it come to church membership, we all have preconceived ideas about what it looks like. In this sermon, we look at why church membership is important and 5 things we need to invest in when it comes to the aspect of personal responsibility in the local church.

Today, we begin the first of three services dedicated to your questions. We all have questions about our faith. Today we look at three: 1. What is the "third" heaven mentioned in 2 Corinthians 12:2 2. I know I'm supposed to forgive people, but do I have to be nice to them? 3. What is sanctification, and is it a second gift of grace?

Godliness may seem the last thing we might describe ourself as, but in Christ we have the mark, identity and ability through the Holy Sprit to be Godly! Brotherly kindness reminds us to show love and affection to those in whom we have things in common while agape love shows that we love one another despite our differences.

Again, as we look at the 7 virtues, the Holy Spirit is the only one who can produce these in our lives. As we look at self-control and patience, we understand that self control is learning how to handle the pleasures of life and patience is learning how to handle the trials in life. We need help in both areas and we have the divine nature to give us victory in both.
