In this Sermon, we look at the bigger picture of life. If God has ordained our days and has a purpose for each one of us, how do we know what that purpose is? In Romans 8:26-29, Paul gives us some direction and comfort as we seek to know our purpose!

Communion at Highland may look a little different, but we always want our people to remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us. This a different way to observe communion, but it is a great visual as we celebrate forgiveness through His death.

This week we discuss what it means to manage our God-given financial resources. Luke 16:10 says "He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much." The feeling of being strapped is often a management problem as it relates to our money. In order to create breathing room we need to remember that we are mere managers and God is the owner.

It's Easter!...But what does it mean? Jesus died on the cross so that our sins could be forgiven. He was raised to life for our justification. In this sermon, we look at the significance of being made NOT GUILTY (justified) through the resurrection power of Jesus.

This sermon helps us understand the two extravert temperaments, Choleric & Sanguine. The powerful choleric is the leader and delegator while the popular sanguine is the life of the party and cheerleader. These two temperaments help us get moving in order to accomplish tasks and move forward in our day to day lives.

This sermon begins a three part series on how we are wired with our personality make up. The reality is, there is only one you and you are it! God has hard wired us the way we are for His purposes and we are all unique by His design.

In this sermon, we look at the last 2 speaking gifts. The teacher helps us understand God's Word while the administrator helps us to be organized.

This sermon looks at two of the gifts that speak for GOD. The Perceiver is the eye of the body, while the Exhorter is the mouth of the body. Both need the opportunity to speak into the life of the body of Christ and bring about truth and encouragement.

Out of the 7 motivational gifts, these 3 gifts are considered the gifts that serve with strength for the Lord. Mercy is showing compassion for others, Giving helps the body with monetary concerns, and Serving helps the body move into action.

When you were saved, the Holy Spirit  brought to you a Spiritual gift for you to use to serve the body of Christ! The question is...How do you recognize, exercise and develop your Gift(s)? In this sermon, we get a clearer picture of what it means to serve from the way we are wired.

One of the greatest aspects of the  Christian life is knowing that GOD has designed us specifically for His purposes! In this sermon, we look at 3 ways GOD has "Wired" us to fulfill those purposes. Our personalities, love languages and spiritual gifts all play apart in how GOD wants to use us for kingdom work.

Once we understand that GOD has created us for a purpose, we can move forward in fulfilling His purpose for our lives. Not knowing His purpose leaves us guessing and frustrated with why we are even created. Knowing how we are wired helps us understand and live out our GOD-given purpose.

If we are to be obedient in Making Disciples, we have to be intentional about spending time with JESUS. Wisdom, knowledge and understanding are key to living out a productive life of discipleship! Getting this wisdom and insight only comes through spending time in God's Word and prayer.

This week Brian talked about abiding with JESUS with the motivation of being an effective disciple of JESUS to others around you.

In order for us to create Breathing Room in our lives for OTHERS, we have to first evaluate how much room we are creating in our lives for our relationship with Jesus. This message is a great reminder of how we need to abide with Jesus before we can effectively impact OTHERS in our life. 

We are saved from an empty way of life and eternal punishment separated from God. But what are saved FOR? In this sermon we look at the benefits of being a part of God's Family!

The great hymn "Amazing Graze" speaks of the reality that as christians we were once lost, but now we are found. But what are we really found FROM? How should this understanding cause us to live more freely in God's grace and motivate us to share the great news of the Gospel?
