If you’ve ever been abused, you may have actually separated from your body. At the time of the abuse, this was a brilliant trick – to dissociate and leave your body so you didn’t have to experience the trauma of the event. However, this “trick” often gets repeated decades later for people who are still caught in the cage of abuse. They don’t inhabit their body: they live from the neck (or waist) up. They try to figure out life in their heads. All the while viewing their body as a dangerous, uninhabitable place to live. I’m here to help you change this: to support you in coming home to your body. What are the energetics of violence? It's everything you believe to be true about yourself and that is living within you. It’s the armor - how you wear it somatically. Your body forms into the violence – and the abusive relationship becomes the externalization of that internal relationship. Internally, it’s the anxiety, nervousness, or doubt you wear. Externally, it’s in the fat or clothes you wear. All this is how you’re creating the dying that you’re choosing. You have to “die” in order to harbor the internal energetics of violence. It’s not a natural state. Your body reactions reflect how your inner world, your inner reality, is set up and the belief systems you hold about yourself and the world - biting your fingernails, eating when you’re upset, drinking, shopping, watching TV, anything that’s getting away from what’s actually happening. The signs to watch for are important and they usually come early. We have to give these signs a language – a name.

Domestic violence is a big subject, not just in the U.S., but worldwide. In many ways, it touches all of us, not just the victims and perpetrators. Make no mistake...any reason for staying is a lie and only serves to sanction the actions of the abuser and enable children to believe it's okay. It keeps you stuck in a No-Choice Universe. How do you know when you or someone you love is caught in an abusive entanglement? Here are some questions to help you recognize the danger signals: Do you feel trapped or hostage in your relationship? Do you hold secrets? Are you afraid to show the world about your relationship? Are you isolating or withdrawing? Is your life becoming really small? Are you staying for the children? Asking these questions and knowing what to do in response to them can make the critical difference and begin to orient you in the direction of freedom. Using the 4 C's of Radical Aliveness can set you clearly on that path.

Fertility isn't just about having babies, a subject I explore in Creations: Conscious Fertility and Conception, Pregnancy and Birth, curated by Sadie Lake. There’s a much broader version which – as creators in consciousness – is perhaps truer and more relevant: “In its original concept, fertility is the state of being fruitful, abundant, and generative…with ease. Sometimes what keeps us stuck is the lack of acknowledging It. The unnamed and greatly feared It. When you give voice, and give acknowledgement to the It do you know what often shows up? The fears, secrets, and armour, melt. For some it's layers upon layers of melting and for others it’s 1 degree of change, and in the one degree of change a universe of possibilities opens up. Radical Aliveness is something I know and something that I desire to invite the world to. When these beautiful beings show up and join me and say “I’m having that too!” It lights up my body and soul, it inspires me to create even beyond what I have ever created as that is a piece of what Radically Aliveness is for me. So what is your IT? What have you been unable to put words to, unable to look at, and unable to acknowledge. This energy of “I’m having it!” is: no matter where you’ve come from, no matter what your story is, no matter what abuse, trauma or horrific tragedy has befallen you or your family – you will not stop until you have what you desire. “No matter matter what it takes I am having it and no one is going to stop me, including me!” With this energy everything you are asking for can all fall together with the universe and with your choice. In this energy is a willingness to let it all go. You have to be willing to lose everything to have everything. And, while this may seem like a bad thing, if you look closely, you’ll usually discover that most of it is stuff you didn’t desire anyway because, on some level, it wasn’t fully supporting you. If there’s a “secret” to those that have success in making a leap into radical aliveness, I’d say it was in discovering and owning their ability to step squarely into the energy of “I’m having it!…No matter what.” and letting it all fall together.

Have you bought the energy of peace, calm, and quiet as a slowing or stopping of creation? The quietness of all thoughts and demands is healing and peaceful yet not from a space of unconsciousness or checking out, a place of calm creation. Even as I write this I sense the molecules of possibilities humming, their excitement growing. I wonder what potency for creation lies within this silence, within peace and calm that we bought as a slowing or stopping? The moment you buy this energy as a slowing or stopping it will be just that, I invite you instead to acknowledge the potency and creation from this space. The ease of creation from this space. Abuse cannot exist in this space. It cannot hold its destructive grip on you. There is nothing for it to hold onto. And what if you could actually be MORE aware of from this space? From the quietness you can hear the whispers of consciousness with an intense clarity and with that, my friends, I wonder what is truly possible?

The act of suicide can create a tragedy so deep that it keeps people stuck in that energy destroying their very lives. They stop creating and infuse the tragedy within every aspect of their world. What if there was another possibility? Dr Anthony Mattis and his son Elijah are two beautiful men that are inviting the world to this very different possibility. Five years ago Anthony’s wife Jessica, mother of Elijah, Vincent and Arial, committed suicide. This devastating event was their family’s tragedy. What they chose from that was not what most would expect…. Within their tribe, they honoured each other with the truth of what occurred and then gave each other total allowance for what everyone required. They supported each other not only in moving beyond the tragedy but to a blossoming of new possibilities. During this show we will talk about these possibilities and you will hear from them personally about this journey and what it took to go beyond their tragedy.
