For those of you who know me, you know that our journey to Royersford didn't come without its share of obstacles. In this episode, I revisit the Real Person | Real Needs archives and combine each segment from the history of our housing journey into one continuous narrative. Now that this part of our life is somewhat resolved it is incredible to go back and listen to just how bumpy the road was that led us here.

In this episode, I use my younger son’s struggles with fear to discuss how we need to redefine our fear so that it is a catalyst rather a crutch. On this episode, I share how self-employment and chasing your dreams can be an emotional roller-coaster. It certainly isn’t for everyone and frankly some days I wonder if it’s even for me! Once in 2015 and then again in 2016. Both times I was not selected for their upcoming season. And I’d come to terms with that and have continued to work on improving as an actor and performer in the meantime. I’d also started to look ahead to 2017 and outline my plan for the year as best I could. When you put all of your hopes in an expected outcome that doesn't come to fruition, you can become disenfranchised. But it doesn't have to be that way.  

A quick disclaimer: this episode includes a lot of coughing, sniffling, and overall grossness courtesy of yours truly and my seasonal allergies. Autumn is my absolute favorite season for a number of reasons. Football, leaves, Thanksgiving, My Fall Wardrobe (which includes an assortment of sweater vests, bowties, and dope jackets). I also met my wife during this season and the memories of that first autumn together are still fresh in my mind. But this time of year also brings with it an annual bout of allergy-induced asthma. It’s like clockwork, really.

The job of an aspiring actor is to audition. Over and over again. Some will go well. Some won't. But what is important to me is that I keep lining them up, preparing, and doing my best, come what may. I decided to document some of my recent experiences. As I officially relaunch the podcast under the new moniker, "The Acting Realtor" podcast, I have decided to replay several key episodes in order to get any new listeners up to speed on where we have been on this journey. In this episode of "The Acting Realtor" Podcast, I bring you along with me to experience what it’s like to be a Realtor by day and a rock-star by night. Doing something you love is not always glamorous, which is why it is important to be authentic and generous no matter what. By doing so, you can live a pretty rewarding life.

After months of deliberation, and several short hiatuses (including right now), I've made the decision to retitle and rebrand my podcast. The "Real Person | Real Needs" podcast will now be known as "The Acting Realtor" podcast. www.actingrealtor.com Don't worry you don't have to update your feeds or podcast apps. The first 42 episodes of my podcasting career were basically me finding my footing and exploring this new (to me anyway) world of podcasting. But as I've grown and learned more about the medium, it seemed that the title just didn't fit the content of the show. In other words, I began to feel that I was not branded appropriately for my target audience. The content has always come from the same place; however starting at episode 43, I began to focus more on creating an audio diary of my life as a young husband, father, and realtor trying to "make it" as a performer, while still providing for my family.
