Jesus said the reason he came is to offer us life - an abundant life. This is the life we all want, but we don’t know how to get there. God does! God wants to lead you in the way you would choose if you knew what God knows! Often, like a compass, our hearts point to what magnetically draws us instead of God’s “true north.” God invites us to believe that Jesus is the path to abundance, and to follow.

Jesus promised “eternal life”…but what does that mean? Humanity’s problem is death: not merely physical death, but the eternal death of being cut off from God, the Source of life. Apart from God, our life resides within our temporary bodies. The Good News is that we can be engrafted into God through Jesus, so we will have life—eternal life!

In a world of bad news, what is the Good News we share? Jesus proclaimed: God is restoring God’s kingdom, and we can be a part of it! God’s kingdom is the life we were all created to live—the life of love, joy and peace we were created for—we just don’t know how to get there. The only way to receive it is by surrendering our own claim to being “kings” and accepting God as the King of our lives.

We often consider Christmas from Mary’s side. But what about Joseph? Discovering his fiancee’s pregnancy, he assumed she was unfaithful. What would he do? Remarkably, God faced a similar choice regarding our sin. Joseph chose to release Mary, as God chose to release us from our sin—and further, just as Joseph took Mary to be his wife, God invites us into a covenant like marriage: a relationship of love and faithfulness, forever.

“Who is He?” That’s the question that must be answered. As C.S.Lewis notes, ““Christianity, if false, is of no importance and, if true, is of infinite importance. The one thing it cannot be is moderately important.” Engage with that question this Advent, and you might just find an answer that will change your life.

As the church looks forward to the arrival of Pastor Barnabas Sprinkle, Peter Pendell talks about his prayer for Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church and his plea to God’s people there.

We’re entering into a unique spot in our calendars and need to make the most of it. Many neighbors, loved ones and friends would be responsive to our invitation, “Come and See!” We don’t need to be Bible scholars to say those words; we just need to care. Listen and think about those who might respond well to your invitation.

These are difficult days for raising children. That’s why The Children's Corner and Liberty Corner Kids are so important to God’s plan and to our church. Here’s a message of encouragement for parents plus others as we seek to raise kids who love the Lord.

One word that surely describes our God is “Generous!” It’s the same word that should describe His people, but it goes against the grain for most of us. Listen to five reasons we need to be transformed in terms of our finances.

Most of us spend a major portion of our week at work. Even in “retirement” we give ourselves to a variety of efforts, making use of our time and skills. But do we do it well? Does our work reflect God's life in us? Listen as we unpack the Bible’s teaching about our work.

We live in a world where we may have many social media “friendships” that are shallow and unsatisfying. Jesus modeled spiritual friendship for us. Spiritual friends are the best kind of friends. Spiritual friendships are deep friendships. They are the ones that will be the greatest benefit to us, and they last into eternity.

Why is it so hard to change? Why does transformation seem to take so long? Why am I so stuck? Last Sunday’s message concluded that if we will learn to think right and do right, we will have the peace for which we yearn. But, “I’ve tried that!” is a frequent response. What is the missing key? Listen closely as we dig deeper.

The Bible says that being “transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2) is a key to fulness of life. It’s a change that will impact every area of life. But can we make it happen? Can we do it in “Three Easy Steps”? No, it won’t be that easy, but it will be worth all the effort we invest.

Does God care about my body? He’s going to replace it, and besides, it’s my spirit that really counts — my soul — the part of me that connects with God. My body’s headed for the dust bin. What difference does it make? You might be surprised! Listen carefully and learn how your body matters to God!

“Transformed!” Rebuilding the foundation of our lives. We go back to the basics in this, the first sermon of our series. We look at the journey of “Following Jesus” and find that it’s not automatic. It takes a decision!

A healthy plant produces fruit! So do Christians! So do churches! The fruit is on display in the church at Jerusalem! It’s produced by God in response to the believers seeking Him through the heart-directed disciplines of the Christian life. Listen so that you can see the same kind of fruit as you pursue God.

“I want to join that church - the one described in those first days described in Acts 2!" Don’t we all? God used that church to turn the world upside down. God’s hand was clearly seen - we want to see it again! But what part can we play in replicating that picture today? Lean in as you listen to hear God’s answer.
