We are living in the time of the end, in perilous times when the love of self rules the day. Bible based morality is under attack around the planet and parents are losing their ability to teach Biblical morality in their own homes. They are outlawed from “training up their children in the way they should go” and having say in their own children’s morality – at any age.

Ever since the Abraham Accords were originally announced in the summer of 2020, when the UAE and Bahrain made peace and recognized Israel, there’s been a trickle of rumors regarding the possibility of Saudi Arabia, the spiritual heart of the Muslim faith, doing the same and making peace and beginning relations with the Jewish State. Over the last few weeks this trickle of rumors has become a torrent with leaders of the two countries opening talking about the fact and acknowledging that talks are ongoing.

(Audio to be added later today.) On September 9, the G20 leaders unveiled an Israel-Saudi Arabia rail link plan, which is "part of a broader project to build a transport link between India, the Middle East and Europe,” according to the Globes news website. Globes explains:

We caneexpect Saudi Arabia to be working in and around the region of Israel and the Middle East when the great Northern Invasion prophesied in the Bible before Christ's return takes place. Recent events indicate a warming of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia is happening now.

Global population levels are in serious, steep, accelerating and seemingly irreversible declines with profound consequences likely, while Israel continues to grow apace.

There is a Generation...“There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.”

This week we have the AUKUS alliance back in the news, with the largest military exercises between the UK, Australia and the U.S. taking place. In a press release by the UK Ministry of Defence, Ben Wallace (the UK’s defence secretary) announced that since July 22nd the AUKUS nations have been conducting a military exercise testing their joint capabilities across land, sea, air and also digital domains. More than 34,000 troops were involved in the exercises that saw UK Royal Marines Commando Force embarked on HMAS Adelaide, which is Australia’s largest warship. The exercise involved ship to shore landings among other military readiness assessments. 

This week the commemoration of Tisha B’Av, was kept by the Jewish people. What is Tisha B’Av? It is the 9th day of the month of Av on the Jewish calendar, when the first and second temples were destroyed. The first by the Babylonians and the second by the Romans in AD 70. This is based on history, Jewish sources and indicated in scripture. According to Jewish sources, other dark events, such as the evil report of the twelve spies also happened on this tragic day.

Among the many events that have captured the attention of believers in Bible prophecy in recent years is the British Mandate over Palestine. Its anniversary is this week. The British were given control over Palestine 101 years ago on July 24, 1922.  In this weeks Bible in the news we explore the significance of the British Mandate in light of Bible prophecy.

The official Vatican news site reported on July 6 that, "Pope Francis to visit Fatima to implore peace for Ukraine, entire world.” The introduction to the article reads,"Pope Francis returns to the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in early August during his Apostolic Journey to Portugal in order to pray for an end to the war at the heart of Europe, at the site of apparitions closely linked to Russia and the Popes of the 20th century.”

In the early hours of Sunday morning, this week, the IDF began its largest military operation in the West Bank for 20 years. The target of the operation was the West Bank city of Jenin. More specifically, Israeli forces were looking to enter the Jenin refugee camp in the city.

This week we see rumours circulating about the United States attempting to put together a normalization agreement between Israel and the Saudi Arabians.

Dubrovin Farmstead, which houses the Yesod Ha'malah museum.2024 marks 140 years since the foundation of Yesod Ha’malah, the first modern Jewish settlement in the Huleh valley, in northern Israel in 1884! The community is currently preparing to celebrate this anniversary. The name for the community was aptly taken from Ezra 7:9 where is tells the story of the return from the Babylon exile saying: “For upon the first day of the first month began he to go up from Babylon, and on the first day of the fifth month came he to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him. ”. Yesod Ha’malah, is the “beginning” or “foundation” of going up. Today the story of Yesod Ha’malah is told at the Dubrovin Farmstead museum, just outside of the community. Christadelphians donated crucial funds at the very beginning to help the fledging community. References to Yesod Ha’malah can be found in the 1885 Christadelphian magazines.

As the world gears up to celebrate Pride Month we take some time to consider what the Bible has to say about such matters.

A counter-economic group to the G7, called BRICS, is working on a different method of international transactions in an attempt to remove America's ability to weaponize its currency. This effort is designed to collapse the American empire and has been given new life by the sanctions imposed by the West worldwide. It is n keeping with the picture painted in the latter days by the prophets of a multipolar world where Russia, not America is the dominant force. 

The feast of Shavuot (called pentecost, or the feast of weeks) has been celebrated this week in the land of Israel and throughout the Jewish world.

In 2005 the Israeli Knesset passed what was called the “Disengagement Law” which ordered the removal of the 21 Israeli Settlements and the eviction of the settlement’s 8000 inhabitants from their homes in the Gaza strip and banned any settlers moving there in the future.

As then nations of Ukraine and Russia are about to embark on the final push for victory, the world is constantly spun a yarn of imminent Ukrainian victory. The Bible paints a different picture in the long term, including much of Europe coming under Russia’s control.
