Three weeks ago, "Genesis: Paradise Lost," a new faith-based documentary was released in the United States bringing the Bible to life on over 1200 screens across the country. This movie is another effort to promote the Genesis record of the Bible with life miraculously created by the power of God in six literal days, in contrast with a naturalistic explanation of life’s origin, as the product of slow evolutionary processes over millions of years. While we do not subscribe to all the church doctrines that appear in the movie’s message, we commend the producers for clearly setting out a contrast between an explanation for the origin of life based on the authority of God’s word the Bible, and the explanation found in school textbooks based on man’s word. Both groups, creationists and evolutionists, examine the same evidence. One group interprets the evidence through man’s word and a lens of millions of years, and the other group interprets the evidence through God’s word, the

We live in very exciting times! The words of the prophets are being fulfilled right before our eyes. This is David Billington with the Bible in the News! Isaiah 27:13 says, "And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.” Friends, we live in the days of the great trumpet. In the time period of the seventh trumpet in Revelation, which is also the time of the resurrection trumpet, the gathering together of Israel from the four corners of the earth, which Isaiah is speaking of. In the news we hear about events in Russia, Syria and Iran as those nations come together, under the protectorate of Russia — the king of the north. We see the great merchant powers of the earth and Saudi Arabia coming together and forming a southern alliance. All these are incredible events. But the national revival of Israel is

Saudi Arabia has been going through a transformation to take on the growing influence of Iran in the Middle East. America has been wanting it to take this role, but now is concerned. Israel comes out and speaks openly of forging an alliance with it. The Biblical players who make up the King of the South are coming into place.

This is Paul Billington bringing you this week's Bible in the News - and it has been the centenary of the Balfour Declaration of 1917 that has been a major news item.

Here in the UK the terms of Brexit dominates the headlines on a daily basis. Still bitter from the marginal vote to leave the EU some who voted to 'remain' appear to be seeking to put as many roadblocks in the way as possible. Petitions are being signed, demonstrations attended and books are being written as Pro-EU activists desperately seek to stop the juggernaut which is Brexit. In this week's Bible in the News we consider the likelihood of Brexit being scuppered in the light of Bible prophecy.

It’s amazing as we watch the news week by week, how over time, events trend toward the outcome set out in the scriptures. Many times against all odds. That is certainly the case this week with the issue of the settlements in the area of the West Bank. Two other areas, which could be referred to as the King of the North and the King of the South are of great interest this week also.

p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 11.0px Helvetica; -webkit-text-stroke: #000000} span.s1 {font-kerning: none} On November 29, 1947 the United Nations voted on, and approved Resolution 181, the plan for the partition of Palestine, which was at that point ruled over by the British.  33 for, 13 against, and 10 abstentions, and God’s land had been parted.  It was a rare moment in history when the nations of the world voted to give the Jewish people a homeland, but it was on the back of the Holocaust and the very traumatic and publicized events surrounding the boat “Exodus 1947”.  Of course the Arab nations in the Middle East voted against the plan, and once the British had pulled out on May 15th, 1948 they attacked the newly proclaimed State of Israel.  Israel however won the war and increased their territory.

While police search for a motive, the true motive is found in the scriptures of truth - human nature. The corrupt world we live in is becoming more and more violent as unrestrained wickedness manifests itself. The Bible tells us the time immediately proceeding the return of Christ will be full of violence, just as it was in the days of Noah and Lot. We need to ensure that we remain separate from the world in these last days.

Another week has past and the birth pangs on the way to the re-establishment of the kingdom of Israel under the Messiah, Jesus Christ continue.

We have been presented with the terrible suffering of mankind in the wake of the devastating power of these catastrophic events. In this week's Bible in the news, we ask - why does God allow such things to happen?

On August 31st Forbes announced “Five Current Trends In Social Media That Will Only Get Bigger” stating that, “Social media is one of the biggest industries in the modern world. Due to their constant updates, social media platforms continue to grow in popularity, showing no sign of slowing down. Social media is no longer limited to younger generations, but has now become popular across all age demographics and is an essential marketing tool.”

As America reels from the tragic events in Charlottesville Virginia, there is much talk about the forgotten history the men who the statues commemorate stand for. The real forgotten history is that behind these men and their values stood the Papacy and the Catholic Church who viewed the Confederate South as its ally in a battle against Liberalism sweeping the world following the French Revolution and threatening its temporal power in the Papal States. 

Events are moving in the world.  Russia and Europe are becoming ever more aggressive.  What will Israel's time of trouble look like?  How quickly will they be saved?  Now is the time for prayer on their behalf like the prayers of Daniel and Moses.

On July 7, UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific, Cultural Organization, passed a resolution calling the biblical Tomb of the Patriarchs a Palestinian heritage site. Yes, this is the burying place bought by Abraham, to bury Sarah and where Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Leah are also buried — the forefathers and mothers of the Jewish nation. The explosion of violence in Israel during the past few weeks has been blamed by the Palestinians on Israel. The facts on the ground are completely different. The issue that has boiled to the surface is the accusation that being a "settler" is a war crime  and the question that has been raised along with it is "Why did Israel give up the Temple Mount in 1967?"

This week we consider horrific events which have unfolded on the temple mount in Jerusalem, Israel and contemplate the peaceful future prophesied in the Bible. This is Matt Davies joining you.

This week saw a very significant event take place in Israel. The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, visited Israel for three days. The reason this visit is significant is found both in Bible history and prophecy. India answers to the Easter Tarshish and as such will have both economic and military ties with Israel at the time of the end.
