  • What’s Good About Friday? - Audio

    25/03/2018 Duração: 49min

This week, Pastor Jerry spoke about Good Friday. Many religions these days focus on what's wrong with us. However, the thing about sin is that it goes much deeper than that. Sin is not just a behavior problem- it is both a relational one and a corrupting one. As a result, the solution to sin must be both relational and healing.

  • Enemy Love - Audio

    12/03/2018 Duração: 44min

This week, Pastor Jerry continued his series on making peace, focusing on our motive. It is important to examine our internal motivations so we can work for peace, reconciliation, and justice for the right reason- love.

  • Peacemakers - Audio

    04/03/2018 Duração: 41min

This week, Pastor Jerry began a conversation about peace and reconciliation. As followers of Jesus, Peace and reconciliation are not meant to be optional accessories to our lives, but fundamental and central qualities of our lives. Today’s topic is the Gospel of Peace.

  • The Righteousness of Christ - Audio

    05/02/2018 Duração: 01h07min

This week, we were joined again by guest speaker Dan Schiopu from Woodland, Washington. He shared with us about how God's righteousness looks different than any of Earth's justice systems. On Earth, we tend to judge people by their actions, while God looks at things differently. With the help of scripture, Pastor Dan examines this idea and offers some new insights.

  • Breathing Hope - Audio

    29/01/2018 Duração: 44min

This week, Pastor Jerry continued his series on Colossians, focusing on hope. In a constantly-connected world, hope can be a difficult thing to hang onto. Fortunately, Paul has some advice for us in times of uncertainty and what feels like hopelessness.

  • Reading and Living - Audio

    21/01/2018 Duração: 49min

This week, we were blessed to be joined by our District Superintendent, Pastor Jerry Kester. He shared with us the importance of properly reading the Bible. While speed-reading may be a valid approach to other texts, it can lead to missing some important information when used to read the Bible. Additionally, he spoke about how important it is to live our lives in a way that brings restoration to those who feel 'done' with any sort of religion.

  • Our REAL Residence - Audio

    15/01/2018 Duração: 41min

This week, Pastor Jerry began a new series on the book of Colossians to provide some context on the early church. An important difference between Colossians and the Gospels is that it is a letter written by Paul, a former Pharisee-turned-disciple, to the people in Colossae, located in modern-day Turkey. Pastor Jerry explains the importance of this information in this week's message.

  • Irreligious as Possible - Audio

    08/01/2018 Duração: 41min

This week, Pastor Jerry wrapped up his series on the Incarnation. He focused on the mysterious New Testament teaching, our union with Christ. Jesus taught that union with Himself is the basis of our Salvation, and it begins with His Incarnation.

  • The Gospel of Peace - Audio

    01/01/2018 Duração: 44min

This week, Pastor Jerry continued his series on the Incarnation of Jesus, focusing on the peace of God. Several verses in both the Old and New Testament refer to the birth of Jesus in a peaceful manner. Even Isaiah referred to Jesus as the Prince of Peace. Pastor Jerry explores this idea in this week's message.

  • The Gospel in a Manger, pt. 2 - Audio

    17/12/2017 Duração: 50min

This week, Pastor Jerry continued in his series on the Incarnation of Jesus. As rapper Trip Lee explained, "If you want to know the God who created you, then you need to know Jesus." To help continue the conversation, Pastor Jerry went over a few important questions, including defining sin and salvation.

  • The Gospel in a Manger, pt. 1 - Audio

    03/12/2017 Duração: 49min

This week, Pastor Jerry began a series on the Incarnation. After all, God didn’t send His Good News message in a pamphlet or on a computer screen. He came to us in the person of Jesus. God cares enough to relate to us face-to-face through Christ and heart-to-heart through his Spirit. In this Christmas series, we learn how to follow the example of Jesus in sharing God’s Good News in person through our lives.

  • We Are Better Together - Audio

    26/11/2017 Duração: 36min

This week, we were blessed to receive from our worship leader, Nikki Climer. She spoke on the book of Romans, and how the beauty of God's love is that He loves us with all our faults, rather than in spite of them.

  • Your Map Is Not The Territory - Audio

    19/11/2017 Duração: 51min

This week's message focuses on a strategy from Philippians 2:3-8 that demonstrates God’s way to engage with others during conflict: remembering that our brain’s interpretation of sensory input- our 'map,' so to speak- is an incomplete representation of reality. As a result, we need to step into and seek to understand the other person’s 'map' if we want to communicate effectively.

  • The Secret To Happiness - Audio

    12/11/2017 Duração: 47min

This week, Pastor Jerry continued in the Rerouting series. According to both science and the Bible, we are at our best when we are happy and at peace. Paul admonishes us to rejoice throughout his works, while scientists have found that what we choose to focus on can have a dramatic impact on our quality of life. All of this is discussed in this week's message.

  • Adventurous Life - Audio

    06/11/2017 Duração: 52min

One of the most damaging ideas in Western Christianity is the one that God delights in torturing people forever in Hell, going as far as intentionally creating billions of people for this purpose in order to increase his glory. Now it's backfiring because many people are saying, “Well, if that’s your idea of God, I want nothing to do with Him.” We don’t want to change our theology because it’s pragmatic, but what if the traditional view of hell rose to prominence because of pragmatism? Pastor Jerry decides to take a swing at this topic in this week's sermon.

  • Response to Gospel - Audio

    30/10/2017 Duração: 48min

One of the most significant passages about the gospel of Jesus was written approximately 700 years before He was even born. Throughout Isaiah 53, we see a graphic- and surprisingly accurate- depiction of the Crucifixion. In addition, it shows us exactly why He came to us in the first place, whether or not we realize it on our first read.

  • End Religion, Be Yourself - Audio

    16/10/2017 Duração: 01h05min

Continuing on in the 'Learning, Living and Giving the Good News' series, Pastor Jerry explores replacing religion with the self-realizing nature of the New Covenant. “Self-actualization” is the drive within every human being to become all we are capable of being; to transform all potential positive qualities into actual positive qualities. The way this relates to scripture is that, while the Old Covenant held us back with sin and law, the New Covenant has allowed us to fully realize our identity in Christ.

  • Privileged To Live Beyond Ourselves - Audio

    16/10/2017 Duração: 01h02min

The Message of Jesus changed the World, until the world changed the message. The goal of the gospel is people sharing in God’s love life! The New Covenant is about our amazing privilege to live beyond ourselves with God.

  • End Religion, Be Yourself - Audio

    02/10/2017 Duração: 01h01min

This week, we were joined again by Pastor Brent Lokker. He shared some practical insights on why it's important to love yourself well. Technical Note: Brent's presentation has been shared as an HTML file, as opposed to the usual PDF file we typically post with our messages. To access this file and follow along, download the 'Loving Yourself Well.zip' file, unzip it, and then open the folder it creates. The folder will likely be called, "Loving Yourself Well". Within this folder, open the 'index.html' file. This will open a new tab in your browser window that simply displays a white dot on a black screen. From here, you can click on the dot to follow along with the presentation.
