This week, we were blessed to be joined again by John Crowder. He rocked us once again in his usual style by challenging our view of theology. Even though everybody has a theology, it may not line up with the real good news of the Gospel.

This week, we were joined again by Pastor Dan Schiopu from Woodland, Washington. The topic of discussion this week was what the Gospel actually means. Traditionally, it's taught that humanity is 'too dirty for God' because of sin- but luckily Big Brother Jesus came and took the punishment for us so we can at least try to make God love us. However, Dan teaches that maybe our salvation does not come from praying a prayer, but from what Jesus did on the Cross.

This week, Pastor Jerry began a series on spiritual regifting. He started us off with the idea that regifting may not be that bad- at least in the spiritual realm. In fact, Paul encourages us in Romans 12 to use our spiritual gifts to benefit others. Pastor Jerry explores this idea in addition to giving us some important takeaways.

This week, we were blessed to receive from our very own Michelle Murphy on the subject of marriage. In the book 'Love After Marriage' by Laurie and Barry Byrne, Bill Johnson says in his foreword that "[w]hen done correctly, marriages influence culture, help set values and priorities for generations, and create an awareness of the one to whom we will give an account of our lives." If our marriages with human beings can have such an impact, it stands to reason that our marriage as the Bride of Christ should be even more meaningful. Michelle explores this idea in this week's sermon.

This week, we were blessed to hear from Dillon Douglas. He spoke from the heart on what it means to imitate God. 1 John 2:6 says that “Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did,” and Jesus lived quite the life, so what does that mean for us?

This week, we were blessed again by our brother Jonathan Krause. Jonathan shared his heart on the value of connecting with church family, drawing from the Bible and his own testimony to illustrate.

This week, Nate Sylling returned to the pulpit to pull apart how Jesus responds to betrayal, hurts, and let-downs. Specifically, he contrasts how Jesus handles these with how the world would handle similar situations.

This week, we were blessed to receive again from one of our worship leaders, Nikki Climer. She spoke from the heart about the hope given to us in Jeremiah 29. In times of uncertainty, hope can be hard to muster up. As it turns out, the solution to this problem can be found in the present.

This week was part three in our series about common bad ideas that interfere with people knowing God. The bad idea for the week is that for some believers, the Bible takes precedent over Jesus. Many will argue that "The Bible says this" when it comes to spiritual matters. However, what ultimately matters is what Jesus says.

The problem Pastor Jerry has with this idea is that it has been used throughout history to justify horrific attitudes toward feminine ideals, and even toward women themselves.

Considering that Jesus "...had no stately form or majesty to attract us, no beauty that we should desire Him," according to Isaiah 53:2, it seems unusual that the disciples would drop everything to follow Him. So what was it about Jesus that drew others to Him? Pastor Jerry explores it in this week's message.

This week, we were blessed to be joined again by Andre Rabe. His topics emphasized how important it is to get other perspectives when coming to conclusions about the Gospel. After all, Jesus Himself offered different views of scripture than many theologians of the day. As Jesus revealed, scripture is often more positive than it may look at first glance.

This week, Pastor Jerry continued in his series about the New Covenant. In Romans 4, the Apostle Paul is talking about how the gospel is given by grace and received by faith. His point is that if we are made right with God by trusting God and not by obeying the Law of Moses, then Jews and Gentiles can become one family together. The question is, is this blessedness only for the circumcised, or also for the uncircumcised?

This week, Pastor Jerry began a new series to continue the discussion about the faith of Abraham and the faithfulness of God by looking at the New Testament.
