Gamers In Beta Podcast

Monday and Tuesday were busy days for the gaming industry, as the annual E3 pressers for Sony, Microsoft, Ubisoft, and to some extent Nintendo were held in Los Angeles. Rather than waiting till the end of the week to record our thoughts on these conferences, we decided to record mid-week. Our guest co-host, for two shows in a row, is @GamesontheMind aka LuckyStiffLive. Over the next two hours, we give our impressions on what we liked and didn't like from E3 2016. And yeah, we talk about a crap load of games.

With the start of E3 2016 upon us and the fact that some of our usual co-hosts couldn't make it, we put the call out to some of our podcast brethren to help co-host Episode 154. We thank DeviousMrMatt from The40Cast, Ruiner2 of DadsGettingGrounded, and GamesontheMind aka LuckyStiffLive for helping host this week. We delayed the show by a few hours so we could catch all the pressers from Sunday. Therefore, we spend a good portion of the show talking about the EA and Bethesda press conferences. We also discuss some of the Xbox One Slim leaks and why Sony is not showing the PS4 Neo at E3. Games discussed this week are Uncharted 4, Hard Reset Redux, The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, and Halo 5.

After taking a week off for a variety of reasons, we're back with Episode 151. All the co-hosts are present and accounted for this week. So on this episode, you'll hear for the first time The Hot Seat, aka How Uncomfortable Can We Make You in 10mins, and DILLIGAF. Plus, Jay brings back the "It Smells like New Plastic" segment. Games we discuss this week are DOOM, Uncharted 4, and Alienation. Topics include Joe's trip to Best Buy to try out Oculus Rift and Corey's impressions on the changes to ARK: Survival Evolved. With Episode 150, we're officially half way to 300, or just 50 away from 200. It's nice to have goals isn't it? Super thrilled to have all the co-hosts back this week. We discuss topics such as the new, freshly announced Nvidia 1070/1080 cards, Battlefield 1, Uncharted 4, Call of Duty going to Space, Respawn's Star Wars game, and more. Our guest interview is with Bill Gardner of The Deep End Games, who previously spent 12 years working at Irrational Games on the Bioshock franchise. In mid-April, Joe STATE and Corey (catwo0d) had the pleasure of traveling to North Carolina to check out BossKey Studios' debut game, LawBreakers. For those who don't know, BossKey is headed up by Cliffy B, of Gears of War fame. What you're first about to hear is a podcast with Joe, Corey, and a bunch of other gaming media. Joe and Corey are back from their trip to NC, where they visited with BossKey Studios to check out their game LawBreakers.
