Happy Halloween from the Gamers In Beta Podcast! On Episode 175, Sean returns to the show after being away for a few weeks. Listen as we discuss some of the leaked specs for the Nintendo Switch, the release of Titanfall 2, and Bethesda's change of policy when it comes to handing out review copies for their games. Also, this week we welcome Daniel from Dreadbit Games to the podcast. Dreadbit previously released Ironcast on PC and consoles. On November 1, they'll release Seraph on the PlayStation 4. Games we've been playing are Gears4, Battlefield 1, ARK, The Flame in the Flood, Farming Simulator 17, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Sparcade, DOOM, and Pirate Pop Plus.  

What a week last week was for gamers! With announcements of Red Dead Redemption 2 and the Nintendo Switch, we spend a bulk of our time discussing both news items. Also, what is it with all these Friday releases? Does anyone know? Extra Life is just a few weeks away so we welcomed Dave (aka Robop1g) of Good4Gaming onto the show to talk all about Extra Life 2016. Games we've been playing are Gears of War 4, Battlefield 1, The Orange Box, and The Flame in the Flood.

Welcome to Episode 173 of the Gamers In Beta podcast. This week we have a longer than usual show as we discuss new releases like Gears of War 4 and Battlefield 1. We also talk about Rockstar teasing us with their tweets about Red Dead Redemption, our thoughts on the Star Wars Rogue One trailer, and is it too late for Activision to release a Skylanders cartoon, even if star studded. Our interview this week is with Michelle and James Silva of Ska Studios. They're the devs behind games like Charlie Murder, Dishwasher Vampire games, and most recently Salt & Sanctuary.  

When two thirds of the cast can't make the show, we don't close up shop for the week. Nope, we go out and get professional fill-in like Nick K (aka GamesontheMind/LuckyStiffLive). This week we discuss how Bethesda and Sony have changed course on allowing mods on the PS4, PlayStation VR, a wireless Oculus VR headset, and more. You like games? I mean, do you really like games?!? Cause on Episode 169, we talk a shitload about a lot of games. This is a gaming podcast after all. Last week was quite the week for Sony. With the announcement of the PS4 Pro, PS4 Slim, and lack of mod support, many gamers were left scratching their heads. We try our best to break it all down and make sense of things. Welcome to Summer 2016! Not only are we doing this show sans suntan lotion and lounge chairs, we're also embarking on our first show without using Skype. After too many issues over the last few months, we've abandoned Microsoft's communication platform and our now trying our hand with using Discord. On Episode 157, we open the show with some non-gaming talk, as we discuss some of our guilty pleasures and heroes. Once the gaming discussion kicks in gear, we talk about the Steam Summer sale, the availability of the XB1 S models, and Oculus dropping their previous DRM stance.
