Kevin on the Cape (Junkie) and Dave settle in and enjoy their first watching of the "The Godfather, Part II" the sequel to the iconic Godfather film and an equally compelling movie.  Will Junkie and Dave have a positive opinion as we go through the film?  This broadcast will feature both hosts watching the movie in real time and reacting accordingly live on YouTube.   We'll also check comments from our friends in chat and elsewhere during the live reaction show.  It's a followup to our Godfather recap show from last year and should be equally riveting discussion.

John and Mike are back to recap a thrilling U.S. Open from Brookline, MA.   Andy in Seattle may join in as well, and we'll cover Matt Fitzpatrick's narrow victory after a putt by runner-up Will Zalatoris on 18 to tie misses by an inch.   We'll also look at other big players from this weekend's action including the year's hot starter Scottie Scheffler, the recently surging Rory McIlroy who had a big setback on Sunday, and Jon Rahm, who had a solid defense of his U.S. Open title but struggled to keep the ball in the fairway on his final round. John and Mike are back to recap the very exciting 2022 PGA Championship from Southern Hills in Tulsa, OK.  We chat about Justin Thomas' huge comeback on the final round of the tournament.  In so doing, he beat out Mito Pereira, who was leading for most of the weekend, and Will Zalatoris, who was sneaking up on the leaders in the top 5 all tournament long.  How did gnarly weather conditions and the pressure affect the outcome on a loaded field of players?   Later in the show, we discuss the May dates used in recent years for the PGA Championship.  Is it a good move or is it being lost in a very crowded sports calendar this time of year?  We'll also discuss the broadcast, share our surprises and disappointments, and much more from this year's PGA Championship.

John and Andy are back to share their thoughts on the NFL's schedule this coming season.  A great matchup between the Rams and the Bills opens the season, and there are other key meetings between last year's playoff teams, some great divisional matchups, and much more.  Later in the show, we'll segue to potpourri on numerous sports and break down how the NBA and Stanley Cup Playoffs are going, plus a preview of this year's PGA Championship from Southern Hills.

We're taking a break from football this week to give you all the latest from Major League Baseball.  Gerry Will joins us to break down the happenings with both the Yankees and Mets, plus the suddenly good Angels who have been rolling lately.  Can they keep on winning vs the solid Tampa Bay Rays?   What does one make of the much lower scoring to start the season?   What was it that kept the sport going and avoiding a nasty extended lockout?   All this and much more from the national pastime.  Andy in Seattle joins the show 30 minutes in and we'll also get into the struggling Red Sox, a now-woebegone Nationals franchise, and the upstart Giants in an extremely competitive NL West.  The Dodgers are playing up to their reputation as World Series favorites so far while the Cubs are hitting new lows, especially on offense. We'll also have some fantasy talk on this episode, highlighting the pitchers and hitters to watch for various fantasy and DFS leagues.

Ron in NJ joins us again for our annual NFL Draft Preview!   We'll cover the incredibly large scale festivities on the Las Vegas strip, plus cover all the needs for the various NFL teams.  This year's draft appears to have less depth than normal, particularly for Quarterbacks, but we'll see where the value is for first and second round, then it's Ron's mock draft for the first round!  Andy in Seattle pops in for some assorted thoughts after our draft coverage.

We have a shorter show this week with John and Dave dissecting the USFL's opening weekend and its lack of pizazz compared to the XFL reboot back in 2020.   What is the ceiling for this complimentary spring league?  Can it hold its own during the playoff season for hockey and basketball? Later, John and Dave segue into assorted potpourri including some draft prospects for next week's Draft in Las Vegas, golf coverage following a great finish at the RBC Heritage, and much more.

On our special Golf edition of DITCOW Football, Mike in North NJ, John in CT, and Andy in Seattle return to recap a surprisingly uneventful Masters Tournament that saw Scottie Scheffler dominate for much of the weekend, except for a few moments on the final round where Cam Smith closed the gap.  Then, after a complete meltdown on the 12th hole by Smith, Scheffler cruised the rest of the way.  We'll discuss the others in the field, including extraordinary rounds by Rory McIlroy and Collin Morikawa on the final round, Tiger making the cut, and much more from Augusta.

John and Andy join Dave to discuss the late breaking news that NFL teams approved a new OT format for playoff games, where both teams get at least one possession in overtime.  Later, it's back to NCAA Basketball coverage as we give our thoughts on the action from the Men's Tournament.  There were big upsets by St. Peter's and big wins for Duke, Villanova, Kansas and North Carolina as they both head to the Final Four.   What went wrong for Baylor, Gonzaga, and Arizona?  What went right for Cinderella programs like St. Peter's and Providence?  All this and more as we set up for what could be a great Final Four with the epic Duke/UNC rivalry as one of the semifinal games.

The entire panel is back to unravel the layers of Tom Brady's sudden return to football.   John, Ron, and Dave try to decipher why he changed his mind and is going to try playing football again at his advanced football age?  What team would sign him?  Where would he want to play?   We also discuss the equally stunning move of former FOX Broadcaster Joe Buck to ESPN to join Troy Aikman in what should be the de-facto new broadcast team for Monday Night Football.  Afterward, Andy rejoins the others for a mini preview of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.  Will we see more chalk or more upsets this year?  What will Baylor have left after their title run last year and some recent injuries?  Can Duke make one last stand for Coach K in his final season?  All this and more on our latest DITCOW Football.

John and Ron are back with Dave to cover some huge moves in the NFL this week.  First, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers agreed to a restructured contract to stay in Green Bay.  Next, only hours after the fact, Seahawks QB Russell Wilson was traded to the Broncos.  We'll chat about the impact for all three teams and what the future holds for Russ and Aaron. Our good friend Jacob Rosales-Hunt joins the show to discuss the 49ers Offseason.  On the 49ers, we speculate on what the Niners will do with QB Jimmy Garoppolo among other potential offseason moves.  Will they pay the money for standout WR Deebo Samuel?   What can the Niners do in Free Agency?  Who should they be looking at for this coming NFL Draft?  All this and more on special 49ers Themed DITCOW Football.

The panel are back to recap a thrilling Super Bowl LVI with Dave as the Rams fight back to beat the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI.  We'll chat about Aaron Donald's amazing performance, key injuries, particularly the unfortunate torn ACL for Rams WR Odell Beckham Jr., and the big go-ahead TD grab from Rams WR Cooper Kupp.   Did the Bengals blow their big shot or are they set for many future playoff runs with their young team?  Later we cover some offseason news including Brian Flores' hire by the Steelers, and a new partnership between the NFL and XFL.   In the second half of our show, Mike in North NJ joins in to discuss the failed Saudi League that looked to be on track to compete against the PGA Tour, only to flop before it starts.  What went wrong?  Plus: a recap of the Genesis Invitational at Riviera with Joaquin Niemann's enormous win as a young 23 year old.
