We close the calendar year of sports shows with our Week 16 Football Picks show.   We'll have a recap of the NFL action last weekend including a surprisingly close call between the Texans and Cowboys, plus big wins for the 49ers and Lions, and more.   Later, the panel will segue to our Bowl Previews for 2022-23, we'll present the bowls we love and the "bowls we wouldn't watch in our back yard."   Then its our picks for the NFL and for Week 1 of Bowl action!  Happy Holidays from the Sandwich Sports Show!

The panel is back to preview all the Conference Championship games in College Football, including a rematch of USC and Utah to decide the Pac 12 title and a college football playoff berth for USC.  In the NFL, we look ahead to a monster weekend of games and recap an awesome Thanksgiving weekend.  Later we have the picks from both sports as things tighten up in our contest.

The panel (John, Andy, Ron, and Kevin) is back to recap amazing things from last weekend in football.  The Jets pulled a huge upset over the Bills on Sunday, and LSU beat out Alabama in overtime at Baton Rouge.  Notre Dame stomped a Top-5 Clemson team in South Bend, and we had a lot of excitement in both college and pro ball.  The weekend ahead may not be quite as exciting but we'll share all the best matchups in Week 11 plus give you our picks of the week as the contest continues. 

We've got a preview of Tennessee/Georgia and Alabama/LSU among our many topics tonight on Football Picks this week.  Andy and John join us on stream while Kevin and Ron send picks via the text.  There are a lot of late night underdogs the panel liked, and other sneaky good games we got into.  We also got into the tough sledding going down in the NFL and our best bets from the pros as well.  It's quite a spirited episode as we get funny comments from TurboSwim and DaraHaydenMusic in Twitch chat while we cover another wild week in football.

Andy, John, and Dave are back after a great week of picks to recap some crummy games in both college and pro football, but there was still juice between the games when the 49ers traded for Christian McCaffrey before their game against the Chiefs.  Despite his great game, the Niners still lost, but it could present a new dimension for San Francisco.   We'll get into the trade, plus look ahead to games in both the NFL and College.  There's a showdown brewing between Kentucky and Tennessee alongside a solid matchup between Oklahoma St. and Kansas St.  In the NFL, we look at the pleasant surprises that are the Giants and Seahawks.  This week, they play each other in what should be a sneaky good game.  Later we have the picks as we try to build off a great Week 8 for the contest.

Our long-time friend of the podcast, Santoro, joins Dave to revisit the old days on TMF.com and their transition over to the new SFZ on Discord.  We also debate a lot of random questions, such as is a hot dog a sandwich, embarrassing things Dave said on the podcast, TV shows, and more. We heard from some names from the Mike Francesa world over in Twitch chat, plus some of the regulars from Dave/Davy's new Sandwich Show, and it was a showcase of worlds colliding as we bridge the past with the present.

It's our first-ever Football Show streamed live on Twitch, as the panel returns to recap an electric Week 8 in football.   Andy, John, and Kevin are scheduled on air, while Ron sends picks via the text.   Tennessee pulls the huge upset over Alabama to remain undefeated, while Utah mounts a big comeback to beat USC in Salt Lake City.   In the NFL, the Bills edge out the Chiefs in a much lower scoring game than expected while it was another battle of attrition with the Broncos, losing out in OT to the Chargers on Monday Night.  The panel recap all the madness, then look ahead to this week's action which appears very disappointing on the NFL side while the College Slate features matchups with some potential with Texas taking on Oklahoma State, Ole Miss taking on LSU, and other games.  Then it's our picks as we continue the contest and try for another solid week against the spread.

Kevin and Dave bring you a special Random Questions podcast where we'll recap the Picks results from Week 6 and the action on the football field last weekend.   Later, we'll segue to Random Questions and take your questions about anything: Football, Food, Streaming, and anything else!

The panel is back to recap an enormous upset for the Miami Dolphins over the Buffalo Bills in a great showdown last Sunday and a similarly large upset for the Colts against the Chiefs in Indianapolis.   Tennessee gets a big win over Florida in their big rivalry game, though not without a lot of fight by the Gators in the fourth quarter.   USC toughs out a quality victory in Oregon State despite a bad offensive performance. Yet another coach is fired in College Football, Kevin will break that down, and the rest of the panel will join him in recapping the most exciting NFL Sunday yet back in Week 3 and look ahead to more great matchups in both college and pro football this coming weekend.   Note: there were audio issues in the first 10-20 minutes of the show, the audio was only working on the left channel during this period of the podcast.

We try to pick up the pieces and recap a strange weekend of football with numerous blowouts and some shocking comebacks by the Dolphins, Jets, the Cardinals, and others.  Herm Edwards was fired from Arizona St. back on Sunday and other programs had some shaky performances, notably UCLA vs South Alabama and Notre Dame vs Cal.   The Bills dominate the Titans on Monday Night, and the panel look ahead to a showdown between the Bills and Dolphins.  All this and more on our Week 4 Football Picks show!

Ron, John, Andy, Junkie, and Dave recap a positively chaotic Saturday in College Football featuring big upsets by Marshall and Appalachian State over Notre Dame and Texas A&M.   We also saw a thrilling finish in Austin between Alabama and Texas where things got away from the Longhorns in their near-upset of the Crimson Tide. Later, we cover an exciting opening week in the NFL, featuring the Giants unlikely upset of the Titans, the Seahawks upsetting their former QB Russ Wilson and the Broncos, and a great game between the Raiders and Chargers.  Then it's on to our picks from both sports, plus some coverage of Scott Frost's predictable, although sudden, firing from Nebraska.

Kevin on the Cape joins the panel for week 1 as John, Ron, Andy, and Dave bring you Week 1 of our Football Picks season.  We'll pick two of our favorite bets from college football this week and preview all the games to come, plus  quick recap of the week zero action several days ago.  Among the big games in College Week 1 is Notre Dame/Ohio State. Later, time permitting, we'll look ahead to the NFL season and talk about some season storylines, plus other potpourri.

Gerry Will and Andy in Seattle join in to recap what was a very exciting MLB Trade Deadline.  The Yankees don't get Juan Soto as many expected, but they land a batter in Andrew Bennintendi, pitcher Frankie Montas, and many other solid players.  Juan Soto instead goes to the Padres, who will also have team control of Soto for two more seasons.   The crew will break down all the notable moves across MLB and how they will fuel a potential second half for some contenders. We'll also cover the legacy of Vin Scully who died on Tuesday at the age of 94.  He was truly a great of greats, and arguably the best baseball announcer of all time.  He also was an incredible human with an amazing life.  Gerry, Andy, and Dave will share their stories of great Vin Scully moments.  A mid-season baseball recap to set up the playoff changes in August and September.

John, Mike, and Andy are back for a recap of a thrilling Open Championship from the home of golf, St. Andrews on the 150th playing of the Open.   Cam Smith edged out Rory McIroy on the final round after an absurdly good run of consecutive birdies and key putts to save par.  The crew chat about Cam's once-in-a-lifetime performance in Scotland and break down the extremely competitive field.    How will McIroy cope with the frustration of playing so well and still losing?  Will Cam be back with more majors in his near future as well?   Plus: Tiger's presumed last moment at St. Andrews, solid runs for both Cam Young and Viktor Hovland, and a look at this week's surprises and disappointments.   The decent performances by now-LIV members Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, and others are also a topic: do they signal a larger migration of pro golf to the upstart, albeit dubious, competing tour?  Afterward, a look ahead to the rest of the tour and the FedEx playoff as we round out our golf coverage for the year.

Ron and Andy are back with Dave to break down the earth-shattering news from the Pac 12.   UCLA and USC announced their move to the Big Ten in 2024 pending several scenarios.   The panel cover the massive power shift between both conferences and how it would spell certain doom for the Pac 12 as a Power Five conference.   Is the Big Ten suddenly the best conference in football or is it still the SEC?  Will the proposed four super conference model now be a reality?   Many scenarios to discuss as we look towards a very different landscape in FBS.  We'll also cover some potpourri after the fact including NFL news, baseball, Wimbledon, and more.

Kevin on the Cape (Junkie) and Dave settle in and enjoy their first watching of the "The Godfather, Part II" the sequel to the iconic Godfather film and an equally compelling movie.  Will Junkie and Dave have a positive opinion as we go through the film?  This broadcast will feature both hosts watching the movie in real time and reacting accordingly live on YouTube.   We'll also check comments from our friends in chat and elsewhere during the live reaction show.  It's a followup to our Godfather recap show from last year and should be equally riveting discussion.

John and Mike are back to recap a thrilling U.S. Open from Brookline, MA.   Andy in Seattle may join in as well, and we'll cover Matt Fitzpatrick's narrow victory after a putt by runner-up Will Zalatoris on 18 to tie misses by an inch.   We'll also look at other big players from this weekend's action including the year's hot starter Scottie Scheffler, the recently surging Rory McIlroy who had a big setback on Sunday, and Jon Rahm, who had a solid defense of his U.S. Open title but struggled to keep the ball in the fairway on his final round. After our coverage of the U.S. Open, we'll keep the golf panel on the show to cover the newly started LIV Tour overseas.  The Saudi-funded tour got a number of big names, most recently Brooks Koepka who announced his move to the tour on Monday.  We'll also cover Sir Nick Faldo's announcement of retirement from full-time broadcasting between CBS and Golf Channel.  Where does the PGA Tour go from here?  That plus a look-ahead to upcoming events and a quick preview of golf'
