Sovereign Self

The word "freedom" is used very loosely these days. We like to proclaim we have freedom but in multiple ways we do not. In order to have freedom it must apply to all, not just some of us. Our judgments against others and our endless rules curtail our freedom to be who we wish to be. Freedom can only be achieved when we embrace responsibility for who we are being and by causing no harm to others in the process. As soon as we demand who or what others can be or have, we are demonstrating we do not believe in freedom, as we are taking their freedom away. As an expression of love, freedom is first developed inside ourselves and involves giving it to others out of love. Martin, Ron and Karen discuss these issues and the concept of Freedom as part of becoming a Sovereign Self.

The word "fearlessness" can apply to someone who is reckless, impulsive, wild or overconfident. As an expression of love, fearlessness, defines the behavior we demonstrate when we come from love. It is a lack of fear created from embodying some of the other expressions of love. Especially when we come from our heart center, a developed intuition, trust and wisdom. Martin, Ron and Karen discuss the concept of fearlessness, the ways in which we can work toward becoming fearless and at the same time move closer to becoming a Sovereign Self.

The word "eternal" has been bandied about in both a spiritual and religious context, but what is eternal? From an expression of love perspective, it is love that is eternal. Divine love and the center of who we are, which is love, are eternal. God as the source of Divine Love is eternal, but not much else is eternal. By its very nature the Universe is in a constant state of change and nothing stays the same. Engaged Detachment has been given the title of being a spiritual law, but what does it mean? Martin, Ron and Karen discuss engaged detachment and how it has been misused, by some, as an excuse to detach from reality. For us, engaged detachment means that you are engaged in an internal exploration of who you are. Whether that be emotionally, mentally or spiritually. Empathy is an important "Expression of Love," which for many people has been forgotten. Martin, Ron and Karen discuss empathy, what it is and how it can be used to not only help yourself but all others as well. Empathy can be used as a barrier to violence and war. Empathy helps create another great Expression if Love...understanding. When coming from your heart with empathy and understanding there are few problems that cannot be overcome. It is a necessary aspect of becoming your Sovereign Self.

Courage is an "Expression of Love." Martin, Ron and Karen discuss various aspects of courage and how courage shows our love and respect for ourselves and others. Courage has many levels, not the least of which is standing up for others with integrity - but even more than that courage is facing your fears and taking action from the heart. When we do not have courage we move backward and there are consequences. Conservation shows our love and respect for not only each other but for all life and the world itself. This is Martin, Ron and Karen's next program in the "Expressions of Love" series, where they discuss what it means to have confidence. Confidence is not the same as being pushy or aggressive, yet so many people mistake these behaviors as signs of confidence which they are not. Confidence works with the entire network of expressions of love, including integrity, competency, grace and authenticity.
