Brumfield is the President and CEO of Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC), a nonprofit dedicated to advance the full participation of minorities and women in employment and contracting opportunities throughout the aviation and aerospace industries. AMAC provides advisory and resource support to organizations in aviation as well as individuals working in or trying to enter aviation. Krystal speaks about her unusual path to AMAC from an Accounting undergrad, to a law degree, to a specialization in taxation. She has one of the most incredible stories we've heard thus far. Yasmine is Palestinean, and spent her childhood in Kuwait, her birthplace. Yasmine visited America for the first time as a young girl. While here, her younger brother was born. A few weeks later, after Yasmine had returned to Kuwait, Saddam Hussein invaded the country and a group of armed men from the US Embassy came to retrieve her family. (Because her brother was born on American soil, he is a citizen) She was undocumented and spoke no English, but loved learning.
