This week on Select, rising Egyptian duo Paar Muzik steps in with a special mix. Made up of Karim Attallah and vocalist May Adam, the pair have been steadily carving out space within the local underground, known for immersive sets that sit at the crossroads of afro-house and tech-house. For Select 382, they lean into a warm, groove-led strain of tech-house, driven by rolling basslines, layered percussion, and tightly wound, hypnotic buildups, crafted for big rooms without losing their distinct touch.

In the latest instalment of our Select series, we spotlight F-Spins, one of the fastest-rising selectors in Egypt’s club circuit and the founder of the Funkside party series. Known for his high-energy sets that fuse house and progressive beats with flashes of italo-disco, the Cairo-based DJ has shared the decks with global heavyweights like Kolter, L.P. Rhythm, Peggy Gou, Carlita, and Kid Simius. For this mix, F-Spins delivers a fast-paced run of house with unmistakable nods to ’90s grooves, threading together bass-driven cuts from Luke Alessi, Mixolydian, Gearmaster, Foley, and Nic David. The result sits somewhere between nostalgic club euphoria and the new wave of underground house. “After two years without releasing a recorded mix, I wanted to come back with something that really reflects my current sound and where I’m at musically right now,” F-Spins tells SceneNoise.

A fast-rising name on Cairo's electronic scene, Youssef Roshdy steps into our Select spotlight with a cosy, warm house mix. Rooted in classic ’90s and early 2000s house, the set is an hour-long listen that oscillates between ambient grooves, trippy textures and experimental sounds, powered by deep rolling basslines.

Egyptian DJ and producer, MARTINA, stands as part of a new generation of talents who have been actively involved in pushing for an alternative underground electronic scene in Cairo. A member of artist collective, Dhamma, her sets are a patchwork of various sounds and musical styles, going as easily from balie funk to deconstructed club and left-field bass, often, if not always, imbued with punchy edits of Egyptian shaabi or rap bangers. It’s like everything, everywhere, all at once, constantly shifting, and chaotic in the best of ways. She has done her rounds at parties across the globe, including the UK, Spain, UAE, and played at Uganda’s iconic Nyege Nyege festival, and XP Music Futures in Saudi Arabia. Her sets have been aired on international radio stations, such as Stegi Radio and Echobox. This week on Select, we spotlight British-Kurdish DJ and rising producer, Lana Baybie, whose high-voltage sets have been lighting up major clubs and festivals across MENA, including Sandbox in Egypt's El Gouna. Shaped by her cross-cultural upbringing and time spent in Cairo, her sound pulls from UK garage, funk, and Jersey club, swerving into ghetto tech, dancehall, and bass-heavy club mutations. Off the decks, she co-runs the IASC collective, curating pop-up shows across Cairo, Dubai, and London. For Select 376, Lana shares the closing set from IASC’s one-year anniversary in Cairo, a tightly wound, bouncy run through jungle, breakbeat, rap, gqom, and percussive bass, laced with razor-sharp, ever-so slightly silly club edits. Almo١٠٠ is an Emirati-born selector and an avid record digger who draws inspiration from the archives of the electronic scene in Glasgow and Sydney. His sets are known for being packed with rare finds and timeless dancefloor staples. and Select 375, he delivers an all-vinyl mix drawn straight from his personal archive, moving from deep New York house to wavy italo detours and classic U.S. garage edits, with no shortage of electrifying club moments. The set features a tastemaking selection of tunes, such as 'Remember' by Vivien Vee, and 'What I Like' (Dub Version) by Anthony and The Camp.

ReiRei is a Cairo-based DJ and producer who has been grooving dancefloors across Cairo’s dance music scene -from intimate gatherings to main stages -with his refreshing take on afro-minimalism, often weaving in vibrant acoustic textures, 90s drum breaks, and various cultural influences from across the globe. His work is supported by some of the biggest international electronic acts, such as Keinmusik, Dixon, CamelPhat, Pete Tong, Black Coffee, Mano Le Tough, and Themba. He has also recently signed a new EP with Get Physical Music. Chelsea-born Italian DJ and producer Corsini has quickly become a rising force in Beirut’s electronic scene. A multi-instrumentalist on piano, drums, and guitar, he has crafted a distinctive sound that fuses minimal tech house and bass with subtle melodic flourishes. Corsini has played at some of the region’s top venues, including Lebanon’s B018 and The Grand Factory, sharing stages with heavyweights like Nicole Moudaber, Oostil, Alex Stein, and Zamna Soundsystem. His reach extends beyond the Middle East, with performances across the UK, France, Jordan, and Bahrain. Drawing inspiration from ’90s and early-2000s house, electro, and rominimal, his sets thrive on contrast and surprise, moving fluidly from acid-tinged grooves and colourful house to punchy electro and breakbeat, with vocal snippets surfacing at unexpected moments. The mix unfolds as a trippy, emotive journey: acid-laced house and hazy, atmospheric melodies give way to playful electro-rominimal passages, cut through with fast-paced breakbeats, bursts of intensity, and soulful vocal turns.

Montréal-born, Berlin-based artist Jeena is the latest DJ in the spotlight for SceneNoise’s Select series, delivering a mix that reflects her multidisciplinary approach to sound. A composer, practitioner and founder of the neuroacoustic platform Aurras, Jeena operates at the intersection of music and ritual, crafting environments designed to alter perception and foster collective presence. Her work often blurs the line between the dancefloor and the ceremonial, drawing on an eclectic palette that ranges from ambient and psychedelic textures to the driving rhythms of techno and trance. Over the past 15 years, Montreal-based DJ, producer and sound engineer, Lio, has been meticulously refining his sound, blurring the lines between electronic subgenres with his hypnotic sensibilities. The Lebanese artist has come to be known for his stripped-back club sets and acoustic designs alike, using a plethora of aliases, such as Reakt, Digital Natives, Dubwiser, Spoken and Monosapien. Since co-founding Beirut-based collective and record label, Hypnotic LTD, he has been applying his technical precision to different areas, dabbling in a more fluid, jazz-leaning minimalism rooted in deep listening. Beginning with a foundation of funky grooves, Ram eventually guides the energy toward a grittier, heavier and more intense pace, trading smooth rhythms for sharp textures and stronger basslines that ease you into a high-energy vacuum - a transition anchored in standout tracks like Masarima’s ‘Freak with U (Egyptian Lover Remix)’, ‘My Japanese Friend’ by JNJS3, ‘Like I Like It’ by Mau P and ‘Ballan’s Patriatchy is Done (Romantic Mix)’.

Hailing from Beirut, Banx is a vinyl collector, DJ, and audiophile with a sprawling collection of rare jazz, funk and soul records, and a serious penchant for old-school hip-hop cuts. His skilful mixing style has earned him recognition across the region’s dance music circuit, performing at major venues like Honeycomb HiFi Dubai, The Ballroom Blitz, The Grand Factory, and B018, as well as Aegis Festival in Batroun. Outside his homeland, Banx also did his rounds at prestigious clubs across Brussels, Limassol, and Dubai, sharing the decks with prominent international artists like Lethal Skills and DJ EF.
