Yes! I am alive if you were wondering. Apologies for hitting a snag in producing a show every week. School and everyday life got slightly out of hand for a bit. I was able to put a new show together though. Thanks to everyone who has still been downloading and listening through the past few weeks I really appreciate it.    This week, we talk about two great relatable films. The first film we will discuss is 1982's Diner, directed by Barry Levinson. A great ensemble cast in this one, including: Steve Guttenberg, Paul Reiser, Kevin Bacon, Mickey Rourke, and Daniel Stern. Later we will talk about another one of my personal favorites, Mean Streets from 1973. This classic directed by Martin Scorsese, shows a slice of life in Little Italy in the late 60's/ early 70's. Wow! I can't believe this episode will mark one full month of Vintage Pop! It is amazing how much time can fly by, once you get the ball rolling with something. It seems that we have a small but loyal listener group so far, which is greatly appreciated. Looking forward to continued growth and sharing my stories with you. We lead off first, with Ernie Kovacs, a pioneer of comedic television. We will discuss his career as well as The Ernie Kovacs Collection, that has been released by Shout Factory. On the other end of the show, we will discuss a pioneer of the talk show format, Joe Franklin. It is a little bit of everything, as we cover the 1985 film, The Legend of Billie Jean. It is an underrated classic definitely worth checking out.
