Today's lesson focuses on the first mention of the word "zealous" or any form of the word. Interestingly, the last mention of that word shows up in God's charge to those living in Laodicea. Unfortunately, there aren't many Phinehas' in Laodicea...will you change that?

Just as your relationship with your parents and siblings tie in to who you're going to date & potentially marry, the friends you choose will have a similar affect. What does the Bible say about what kind of friends you should and should NOT have?

There is perhaps no greater picture of a gap filler in Scripture than Moses. Countless times, he is found interceding on Israel's behalf before a holy God. A close examination of this reveals how close Israel was to a second or third world-wide flood. This begs to question: who in your life can be spared from judgment if you'll simply stand in the gap on their behalf?

Before you can stand in the gap, you need to make up the hedge. Today, we look at someone in the Old Testament who decided to step outside of God's protection and boundaries and as a result affected his fellow brothers and sisters in their walk with the Lord.

Outside of a relationship with Christ, a teens relationship with their parents is the most important one regardless of whether or not your parents are saved. As we'll see, parental guidance plays a huge role in what kind of spouse and parent you will be in the future.

God is searching for gap-fillers: one individual who chooses to step up when no one else will. That starts - and is sustained - by possessing the fear of the Lord.

We begin by looking at the most important relationship you will ever have - the relationship of which all relationships flow out of: our relationship with Christ. We begin at the end...the end of walking by faith before it is forever by sight (2 Cor. 5:7). On that day, we will be forever changed into his image. The reality is, we are to be changed daily as we walk with him (Rom. 12:1-2; 8:29). What needs to change as a result of this message?

This message serves as a post-winter camp follow-up as well as a potent reminder of the people that God uses to accomplish his will. Remember: once we chose to accept Christ, he chose to accept us into the beloved regardless of our past, our insecurities, our imperfections and a slew of other reasons. So carry on!

Does your walk match your talk? Are you walking in the light or do you occasionally dip into the dark? Are you only honoring God with your lips while your heart is far from him.

If you know him, do you love him? Do you keep his commandments? Do you love this world more than him? Do you love one another?

We kick off winter camp with an examination of the last discipleship lesson Jesus had with his followers. You have to decide which side of the fence you're on.

The world has a LOT to offer. Even if we're not steeped and immersed into seeking all the fame and fortune of the world, all it takes is one distraction here and one distraction there to get us completely off track of where God wants us to be. Are there any distractions you have going into winter camp? Are there any waiting for you when you return?

Having a world vision means that no matter what it is you go on to do in life, your mission is to glorify God by making disciples. Whether you're a student, doctor, lawyer, homemaker, an electrician, or a plumber, you are all of those things SECONDARILY. This final stage realizes that you are first and foremost a disciple-maker.

Every believer is destined to be a leader to some degree or another. The question should always be "who's following you?" If you're not leading someone to the foot of the cross or in one-on-one discipleship, are you truly growing in your walk with the Lord?

This stage is all about the closeness that comes as a result of immense trials. As God begins to develop leaders, he also refines them for greater purposes. This growth step brings about a nearness to Jesus similar to that of the three Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace. The question now remains: what's next?

If stage 3 is all about a disciple having the natural desire to ask "what can I do for the Lord?", stage 4 is all about servant leadership training. What's your next step as a disciple? Are you prepared to step up and lead as a student-leader?
