Today marks ten years since the death of iconic pop star Prince. On this episode of #LatinosOutLoud @RachelLaLoca chats with artist, author, philanthropist, and the longtime muse, collaborator, and former wife of Prince, Mayte Garcia. Mayte now leads Live 4 Love Charities, the nonprofit rooted in Prince’s original philanthropic mission and founded in memory of the son they lost, Amiir. She talks more about this difficult subject on the episode. On April 21, 2026, Live 4 Love Charities will host its Glam Slam Benefit at the W Hollywood, an evening dedicated to celebrating Prince’s enduring cultural and philanthropic impact.  The City of Los Angeles will proclaim today, April 21st, as Prince Day and the Hollywood Sign and other city monuments will glow with purple in honor of him.
