There was never any other candidate to become the host of RevAMP'd...Brian was always the best fit and turned the podcast into a global tool, reaching thousands of people all over the world. Sarah shares her journey getting into the field of O&P and how she is enjoying her time here in town as a Master's student in Pittsburgh. In this episode, Brian sits down with Harvard/MIT Health Sciences and Technology PhD Candidate Shriya Srinivasan about an innovative approach to amputation. Shriya is currently working on a proprioceptive, regenerative peripheral neural interface that will ultimately enable patients to control their prosthesis with native neural signals. She is also exploring optogenetic techniques to create novel strategies to accelerate and improve neural regeneration. In this episode, Brian sits down with Melissa Stockwell and Keri Serota, the co-founders of Dare2Tri, an Illinois-based 501(c)3 non-for-profit organization with the mission to positively impact the lives of athletes with physical disabilities and visual impairments by developing their skills in paratriathlon. Melissa holds a USAT Level I coaching certification and serves as a mentor for Dare2tri athletes as they train and compete.  Melissa is an Iraq War veteran, Purple Heart Recipient and above-the-knee amputee and she holds multiple Paratriathlon World Championship titles.  Melissa currently works at Scheck and Siress Prosthetics and is a mentor and role model to the other amputees she meets.  She is looking forward to working with all athletes new to the sport of triathlon and cannot wait to cross the finish line with them.  Melissa completed the Arizona Ironman in 2013 and is a member of the USAT Mideast Regional Council and USAT Women's Committee.
