We've had a great year talking superhero movies (and TV shows) with you guys, and even though it fell a little bit outside our original timeframe, we really wanted to cover JESSICA JONES, cuz Alia has questions, like: what is bang bang? Who is Hellcat? And why is that Luke Cage guy so dreamy? It's a big double-J love-in as we investigate Netflix's Marvel's JESSICA JONES!

It's Zack Snyder's DC Universe, and Alia and Matt are baffled. Questions abound: does Snyder deserve to get away with this? Is there a character named Dawn in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice? And if you change Superman this much, why are you bothering to call him Superman at all? The penultimate Super Zero brings you the ultimate superhero in less-than-fine form, in 2013's MAN OF STEEL!

One superhero movie we've heard about all our lives but never got around to actually knowing anything about involves a white man in a purple leotard who protects the jungle from other white guys (or something). Let's get to the questions, like: is Matt perfunctory? What happens when you eat too many carrots? And most importantly, who would win in a fight: Darkman or The Phantom? It's the unofficial second part of last week's episode as we engage in another VS. contest, this time featuring Billy Zane in Simon Wincer's 1996 go-nowhere comic book movie, THE PHANTOM!

Die, Darkman, die! Is what we would be yelling if we didn't like this movie so much. It's Matt's first time watching Sam Raimi's non-comic-book movie, and he has questions, like: did the dark man write his own movie (in disguise)? What's up with bone structure? And what is the Matthew Price Bonersode?  It's time to fuse the Universal monsters into a superhero by way of the 1990 extravaganza, DARKMAN!

Our second VERSUS episode! We pit red against green in a classic matchup of comic book monsters, and Alia has questions, like: why isn't Selma Blair naked? Is Hellboy's tail sperminating? And why does Alice Cable keep showing her boobs and running away? Yup, it's going to be that kind of episode, as we delve into Wes Craven's 1982 adaptation of DC Comics' SWAMP THING in a pairing with Guillermo Del Toro's 2004 realization of Dark Horse Comics' HELLBOY!

Who's the best Hulk? Well, we already know the answer to that, it's Mark Ruffalo (the fluffy buffalo). But if we were to cast our eyes back to a pre-Avengers world, in which Marvel and their partners just kept trying to make the Hulk work as a comic book superhero property, what would we get?  It's the first Super Zero showdown as we pit Norton vs. Bana, Lee vs. Leterrier, and Incredible vs. Hulk as we look at Ang Lee's HULK and Louis Leterrier's INCREDIBLE HULK!

Na na Iron Man! Na na na na na na Iron Man! We missed the Marvel Cinematic Universe's foundational franchise the first time around, but it's never too late, cuz Alia has questions. Who are the Science Bros.? Why does Guy Pearce like to be ugly? What does MODOK stand for?  Matt doesn't even really need to be here any more because Alia definitely knows enough to hold her own in the MCU going forward. Can you dig it? It's Shane Black's IRON MAN THREE!

The summer of 2015 comes to a close with the crash landing of a reboot of a sequel of a reboot of a franchise that no one can seem to get right. Alia's all good, but Matt has a lot of questions, like: do penises stretch? (More than usual, anyway?) Is Josh Trank's story a Shakespearean tragedy? And why does Alia keep saying there's going to be a sequel to this disaster? It's a cruise in the Fantasticar with Marvel's first family, in Josh Trank's FANTASTIC FOUR!

Episode switcheroo! We jump ahead one installment to give you our long-awaited look at the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most interesting project to date, and as usual, Alia has questions. Like: Is Krysten Ritter Daredevil? Was Wilson Fisk a teenage Japanophile? And why isn't there sex if there's so much punching? Matt only has one question in response: does Alia have the devil inside her? Let's find out as we carve into Netflix's fantastic 13-episode adaptation of the Batman of the Marvel universe: DAREDEVIL!

The most important female comic book character of all time saw the light of the silver screen for the very first time just a couple of months ago, when she popped up in a blink-or-you'll-miss-it cameo in the Batman v. Superman trailer. We decided to dig into the archives of DC Animation to get a handle on her, but Matt and Alia admit they're both stumped: what's up with the bathing suit? Why are feminists always so angry? And for real: has Wonder Woman simply outlived her usefulness as a comic book icon? It's an uneasy look at the troubles of representation as we dig into Lauren Montgomery's 2009 animated feature, WONDER WOMAN!

If we got a big red X on our first season, it was the total lack of discussion of one of the founding franchises of the modern superhero era: The X-Men. Well, it's time to rectify, cuz Alia has questions! Like: Who's the Flash? Why do superheroes look so good naked? And why can't you have a diminutive Canadian lesbian as the main character of an X-Men film? Matt supplies some answers as we dive deep on two generations of mutant superheroes with Bryan Singer's 2014 return to the comic book franchise that started it all: X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST.

WE'RE BACK! Super Zero returns from summer vacation for Phase 2 of their tour through the comic book superhero movie universe(s), and Alia immediately has questions, like: Who is the Ant Man? Why isn't there an Archie movie? And what do we know about Phase 3 (of Marvel, and of Super Zero) so far? Matt has questions of his own, like: do bugs have morality? Will Alia ever remember to watch a post-credits scene? And if Matt repeats a joke long enough, does it come true?  It's a giant-sized look at a tiny little superhero in Marvel's Phase 2 closer, ANT-MAN! We finish off Phase One of the podcast with a special bonus episode in which everything is upside-down: because Alia's the expert, Matt's the newb, and mutant turtles are running riot in the sewers of New York City! This raises some obvious questions, like: How do you read comics on YouTube? Which Ninja Turtle might be kinda gay? And were any of the turtles ever beheaded? It's an astonishing outpouring of information in the opposite direction as Super Zero takes on the turtletacular 1990 film, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES!
