Sinopse

Forget the slow build, throw those small stakes in the trash. Take your rational thought, your game mechanics, your initiative rolls, your Forgotten Realms, and set them ablaze. Our story begins with the undoing of the forgotten realms by our ill-equipt and remarkably incompetent band of 'heroes'. What follows is a chaotic fever dream of adventure through the heavens and hells of the planar system.I, the GM and editor, work in post production, entertainment and storytelling professionally, so my goal is for each episode to be more exciting and engaging than the last. We've got production value, a curated soundtrack, heavily edited game mechanics and combat because that stuff gets tedious real quick.

Oops, took another month-long hiatus. This week, our heroes hijack a religious ceremony, attempt a chat with the masters of the universe, do some wet and wild stunts and witness the death of a God. Also, I spent a good amount of time on the sound design for this episode just sayin, nbd Forget the slow build, throw those small stakes in the trash. Take your rational thought, your game mechanics, your initiative rolls, your Forgotten Realms, and set them ablaze. With D&D 5e as our base, we're setting up our campaign in Planescape for our first season as amateur role players. Expect a dope soundtrack, rich storytelling and terrible choices. Based on the campaign setting and characters of Zeb Cook, and FamousHippopotamus on /r/dndbehindthescreen Have you listened to S Town yet? Wowzers, that podcast.

  • GlitterHell

    16/01/2017 Duração: 01h11min

This week, we have a guest and a whole lot of tech problems! Also in this episode, our party sails through a mysterious jewel-filled marshland, meets a Primodial Wyrm and a Mad God, uses their first Genies wish, and briefly taste the powers of a God. [i.e. we play like 30 minutes of "A Doomed Pilgrim in the Ruins of the Future" from Sunderlands] Forget the slow build, throw those small stakes in the trash.

  • Baator Pt. 1 - A Song Without a Melody

    02/01/2017 Duração: 01h11min

As our party sets sail on their new adventure, they learn right away that it's not all Gold and Glory, especially for amateurs. In the first half of this bottle episode, our heroes hide below deck from the dead swamps of Hell, uncover buried mysteries of their new ghost crew, and party with friends new and old. But our DM seems to be heavily implying things may not be as they seem. With D&D 5e as our base, we're setting up our campaign in Planescape for our first season as amateur role players. Expect a dope soundtrack, rich storytelling and terrible choices. Forget the slow build, throw those small stakes in the trash. Take your rational thought, your game mechanics, your initiative rolls, your Forgotten Realms, and set them ablaze.  CLICK HERE FOR A MAP OF THE SHIP:  AND HERE FOR A VIEW OF BAATOR

  • Planescape Pilot - The End of History

    27/12/2016 Duração: 01h13min

Forget the slow build, throw those small stakes in the trash. Take your rational thought, your game mechanics, your initiative rolls, your Forgotten Realms, and set them ablaze.  In our first episode, we open at the end of a starter campaign gone awry, with our 'heroes' having just undone all life and time in the known world. In this hour, we'll escape from a world unbound, sell a soul to a dead god, sail a ghost ship through a hell with no prisoners, and hum along with an Ouroboric Dragon Queen. We spent about two months prior to recording learning the game, with D&D 5e as our base, before moving to Planescape for our first season. So we are all very new at all of this.  Except the storytelling and production part. That's my jam. Expect a dope soundtrack, rich storytelling and terrible choices. Well production is 6/10 on the pilot but all the others are super great, I promise.
