Selfless Service Unleashes an Ocean of Krishna's Mercy | SB 7.10.16 | HG Vaisesika Dasa | 28 Oct 25
05/12/2025 Duração: 01h08minKṛṣṇa has this inclination: He is ready to pour out mercy unlimitedly to any personality. We find the key here in Prahlāda Mahārāja, that if one imbibes this mood of service for service, then that's the moment we feel satisfied, but that's also the moment Kṛṣṇa takes notice of us and unleashes an ocean of mercy into our lives. For devotees who realize that this is our eternal relationship, they can't do enough at every second to give to Kṛṣṇa, because ātmānaṁ akhilātmanāṁ—the principle is, He's the soul of our soul. So, it's a practical realization in the end to know the science: sarvopādhi-vinirmuktaṁ tat-paratvena nirmalam hṛṣīkeṇa hṛṣīkeśa- sevanaṁ bhaktir ucyate This is called devotional service (bhakti) when you realize that my senses actually belong to Kṛṣṇa, and everything else belongs to Kṛṣṇa, and therefore I'll use everything in His service. And in the process, we purify our senses. Also, Kṛṣṇa gives us His unlimited mercy, and it never stops; it keeps increasing. --------------------------------

You Are Responsible For Your Attention | HG Vaisesika Dasa | Pune | 27 Oct 2025
05/12/2025 Duração: 06minŚrīla Prabhupāda gave some instructions about japa, and in one of them, he talks about how japa is forced meditation. One of the meanings of that is that one may sit and meditate, and that requires one's own introspection, whereas Kṛṣṇa's name has its own force because He's personally present there. But we are responsible for being aware of Kṛṣṇa's names when we're chanting. That's listed amongst all the what we call ten offenses, which is really eleven, because the eleventh one we add on, is all important. Because when we chant, the main point is to listen very carefully and show respect that Kṛṣṇa is present in His names. Prabhupāda also says that this is the main process: sitting or walking and continuing to chant until you become one-minded with the mantra. ----------------------------------------------------------- To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisd

Every Bead is a New Decision | HG Vaisesika Dasa | Make Japa Great Again | ISV | 29 Nov 2025
04/12/2025 Duração: 20minThis japa is described as a kind of self-examination. It's possible to live an unexamined life. Socrates said, "The unexamined life isn't worth living." There's no value in it. Worth means you're getting something out of it. One feature of japa is that we have 108 contiguous decisions to make. Each bead is a new decision: "Will I meditate on the mantra that goes with this bead?" And you can see, if you go for the next one, you think, "I already did that?" So now I'm not going to concentrate, then you can go for eight beads or 107 more without thinking of it. But if we train our mind to make a decision, use our free will to come back to each bead individually, it's a meticulous kind of training for the mind. Because the mind wants randomness in order to escape reality, which is that we're not this body, we are not part of the world. It's been conjured. And we don't like to be challenged our sense of reality. But it's not painful if we face reality, because reality is beautiful and abundant. Krishna is friendl

Keys to a Happy Marriage | HG Vaisesika Dasa & HG Nirakula Dasi | Home Program, Pune | 27 Oct 2025
03/12/2025 Duração: 01h20minAs prabhu mentioned, we talked a lot about what our goals were. You know, before getting married, we wanted to make sure that we were in sync—what we wanted to do with our lives, how we wanted to serve our Gurudeva and the mission. We found that we had a lot of things in common. Of course, when you’re young and you get married, you don’t know what’s going to happen down the road. So we have always kept Kṛṣṇa in the center. Whatever was best for our service to our Gurudeva, and whatever helped us to remember and serve Kṛṣṇa, that’s how we made our decisions — whatever was best for our service. Throughout life, we all have big decisions to make, right? We’ve always made those big decisions based on what was best for our service. I guess some of the principles are learning how to communicate well with each other, to understand that we’re in each other’s corner. We support each other. We have each other’s back, so to speak. It’s a rough world out there, and you want to know that when you come home, you have some

Vyasa Puja Offering to HH Radhanath Maharaja | HG Vaisesika Dasa and HG Nirakula Dasi | 22 Nov 2025
02/12/2025 Duração: 34minThe first interaction I remember having with you was at the old Calcutta airport sometime in the 1990s. A group of about six god sisters, traveling together, arrived on the same flight as you and a few god brothers. Our cars had not yet arrived to take us to Mayapur, and we were unsure what to do. There were no cell phones. We were stuck. Whilst everyone else from the flight left, you, alone, stayed behind to help us arrange transportation. I'm not sure how long it took, but you didn't leave until we were safely packed and on our way. This simple act of kindness left a lasting impression on me. Since that time, I have witnessed and often heard about many such instances of your personal care and willingness to go out of your way to give your association and support. Your loving friendships with your god siblings have been a source of inspiration to me and so many others. You embody the same personal warmth and compassion with which Śrīla Prabhupāda interacted with His disciples. It doesn't matter one's positi

The Antidote to The Epidemic of Cynicism | SB 7.9.22 | HG Vaisesika Dasa | ISV | 29 Nov 2025
02/12/2025 Duração: 01h56minThe whole world has this kind of madness because of krodha or cynicism, and it's self-protective. It's hard for people to entertain the idea that there may be some truth. So Prahlāda Mahārāja here gives what may be the antidote to that. First of all, he describes: "sa tvaṁ hi nitya-vijitātma-guṇaḥ sva-dhāmnā." He's describing the mechanism of the material world. And he's saying that it has various elements that are countable. Then he points back to the cause of all of it, which is the Supreme Independent Person. Prabhupāda puts this parenthetically to show what the purpose of all this analysis is: to come back to the Supreme Independent Person, who, through His external energy, has created the material mind, which is the cause of all suffering in the material world. He describes his experience in this process, or being in the material world, as being crushed—"niṣpīḍyamānam," "I'm being crushed by the Wheel of Time." And then he comes to the ultimate conclusion, which is that now I surrender to you. This is

Bhagavad-gita Recitation- Translations | HG Vaisesika Dasa | Gita Jayanti | ISV | 30 Nov 2025
01/12/2025 Duração: 02h59mingītā su-gītā kartavyā kim anyaiḥ śāstra-vistaraiḥ yā svayaṁ padmanābhasya mukha-padmād viniḥsṛtā Because Bhagavad-gītā is spoken by the Supreme Personality of Godhead, one need not read any other Vedic literature. One need only attentively and regularly hear and read Bhagavad-gītā. In the present age, people are so absorbed in mundane activities that it is not possible for them to read all the Vedic literatures. But this is not necessary. This one book, Bhagavad-gītā, will suffice, because it is the essence of all Vedic literatures and especially because it is spoken by the Supreme Personality of Godhead. You Don't Have to Wait to Surrender to Krishna | Japa Jolt | HG Vaisesika Dasa | 29 Nov 2025
01/12/2025 Duração: 16minI just got off a class with the devotees in Mayāpur. We are taking the Bhakti-vedānta, and we have been reading this morning from the section of the Bhāgavatam: Kṛṣṇa chastises Kāliya. In our discussion, we had been talking about the ways in which Kāliya had received Kṛṣṇa's mercy because he danced on his hoods, but he simultaneously pounded him with his lotus feet. Because of that, he vomited out all the poison that he had, that was because of his unfortunate mentality, which he had become envious of. But somehow or other, his wives had offered prayers when they saw that Kāliya's mood had changed, and he had become a surrendered devotee. We were discussing about this point at which one decides to surrender to Kṛṣṇa. You don't have to wait till the poison is all pounded out of you; you can voluntarily surrender. And having the association of his wives, Jīva Gosvāmī said, who were pure devotees, that's what gave him an opportunity. His wives had thought that he must have done something previously to give him

By Speaking Bhagavad-gita to Arjuna, Krishna Saved The Whole World | HG Vaisesika Dasa | 08 Nov 2025
28/11/2025 Duração: 55minOne thing is that everyone knows Bhagavad-gītā. They know about it, and it keeps it simple, because after you distribute sets of Bhāgavatams, Bhagavad-gītā is easy as everyone wants it. It's famous everywhere in the world, and the Bhagavad-gītā is complete. It's only 700 verses. It's highly consumable for people; the verses are short, and although they're philosophical, Kṛṣṇa has spoken very succinctly, so that anybody can understand. When Lord Caitanya was teaching Sanātana Gosvāmī about devotional service, He mentioned that by speaking the Bhagavad-gītā to Arjuna, Kṛṣṇa saved the whole world. And Jīva Gosvāmī, in talking about the verse (BG 18.66): sarva-dharmān parityajya mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja ahaṁ tvāṁ sarva-pāpebhyo mokṣayiṣyāmi mā śucaḥ where Kṛṣṇa invites any person at any time, day or night, 24 hours a day, to surrender to Him, and He says, "Don't worry, I'll take care of you," Jīva Gosvāmī says devotees constantly remember that verse, and he also comments that Kṛṣṇa is 10 million times more dea

Six Qualities of Pure Devotional Service | HG Vaisesika Dasa | Radha Damodar, Vrindavan | 24 Oct 2025
27/11/2025 Duração: 31minEveryone wants to know, they're tuned into the radio station, WIIFM: 'What's In It For Me?' This is what's in it for the soul: complete happiness, freedom from distress, all auspiciousness, non-interest in any kind of liberation. And they know that they can attract Kṛṣṇa by taking to this process. Mūlaprakṛti Dāsī was a great saṅkīrtana devotee. Did you know there were many very powerful women in the beginning of the movement? And even now! I'm just saying they were there then and now also. Prabhupāda acknowledged his Vaiṣṇavī warriors, who would go out for book distribution in Los Angeles especially, but everywhere else as well, but there, especially, because he spent a lot of time, he would acknowledge the Vaiṣṇavīs who went out for book distribution. Sometimes, after they would return, he would call them to his room and give them personal audience, ask how they did, what they were saying. He also gave Mūlaprakṛti, one of the great saṅkīrtana warriors, some lines that she could use on book distribution, be
