Sinopse
Teaching is hard - there is no doubt about that! Whether you are a brand new teacher right out of the gate or you have put in many years of service - we all feel the pressure to be successful. On those hard days of endless meetings discussing ever changing standards, more rigor, testing, behavior issues, and calling parents - we can lose sight of why we became teachers in the first place. And when that happens, it makes it much harder to do our job. Memoirs of a Classroom is a weekly reminder that the events that happen in our classrooms are like no other jobs on Earth...the spontaneity and randomness of children set the stage for absurd and hilarious outcomes. I want you - the listeners, the teachers, to laugh and melt away some of the daily stress we encounter. I also want these stories to inspire you and show you that even on the worst days - we make the biggest difference for so many of these students. Memoirs of a classroom brings you stories from schools across the country that are aimed at making you laugh, inspiring you, and reminding you, especially on those difficult days, why you became a teacher in the first place. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the podcast.
