Into An Interview

In 2018 Seattle, Washington singer/songwriter Irene Pena and I chatted again right around the beginning of the new year so now we have a tradition! We talked about her songs “Dancing On The Water,” “Ridiculous,” and the contribution she made to The Knack tribute album.

In 2017 Kye Alfred Hillig checked in again at Café Anyway with new music off his album called “Fossil.” We discussed how nuts I am about his music and why making this album was EXTREMELY difficult.

I spoke with Steve Glover, Pato Milo, and Allan Canumay with my dog Basil the Boxer providing color commentary. I also broke my cellphone while trying to take a picture of all of us. A small price to pay in order to bring to you this fun Into An Interview with the band known as Dead Cat Hat!

Irene Pena is a great singer/songwriter whom I worked with in Ventura, California, at a radio station. She once produced an album I did using early digital recording technology. She's got a new solo project which you can find out more on her Patreon page. She debuted a new song on this show.

His newest album, Slowing Down, came out on his 40th birthday but I had the chance to debut some songs off it before anyone else heard them

Hey it must have been love but it’s over now. That song got into my head somehow. I spoke with an awesome original band from San Francisco called THE GO AHEAD. They play awesome music which you’ll hear on this show today, my friend. After the interview I walked ten miles around San Francisco. I ended up at the Hotel Utah eating a Sloppy Joe. I talked to a lovely twenty-something nurse from Texas for half an hour. I was entranced but she didn’t feel the love power. She disappeared with her girlfriends into the ladies room where I think several drugs were used. Oh well.
