His mother Ruth, for years felt that he should record a gospel music album. In this podcast, you will hear the end result of his album titled Precious Memories. Some of the song titles give the reader insight into this great gospel album such as in the song 'Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus', 'Softly and Tenderly', 'In the Garden', and great standards such as "The Old Rugged Cross", and "How Great Thou Art". Their songs such as Soldier Boy, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, I Met Him on a Sunday, are legendary classics that most folks still can repeat the lyrics of those treasures. With a successful collaboration at Dixon and Scepter's promotion the Shirelles had seven top 20 hits. In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked the girls #76 on the list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. You will also hear of their early beginnings when the four teenagers were students at Passaic High School in New Jersey. While there, they entered a talent contest to sing a song they wrote titled "I Met Him on a Sunday".

After serving with the United States Navy in World War II, he decided to begin his singing career. His biggest chart success was a beautiful romantic song titled "I Love You Because" He sang the title song for the film Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte. He was also an accomplished actor staring in the 1972 film The Godfather. His character's name was Johnny Fontaine. He played the same role in The Godfather Part III and The Godfather Trilogy. He sold a number of hit songs about Love and Romance

www.PaulRomaine.com   As a singer Paul Anka, has had talent and success that is richly deserved. He already had hit records when he was in his mid-teens. Who could ever forget songs like Diana, Put Your Head On My Shoulder, and You Are My Destiny? They sold millions of records over time. In those early years, he also was on those massive tours that all the famous singers would be on. They would travel by bus for three months at a time, going from city to city. One of the tours was known as "The Show of Shows" tour. Another tour was called "The Cavalcade of Stars" show. And of course, all packed on the bus with several other singers who had hit records. The schedule was day to day and jumping on the bus after the first stop and getting back on to travel overnight to the next venue. And of course, music! music! music!

The group was formed by Hillary Scott (Lead Singer), Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood (as background vocals, instrumentation and songwriting, Over the past 10 years, the group has had major success. In 2010, Lady Antebellum won five awards at the 53rd Grammy Awards including Song of the Year and Record of the year for "Need You Now". Some of my favorite songs of Lady Antebellum are "Need You Now", "When You Got a Good Thing", "Love's Lookin' Good on You" and "Downtown". The original version of our Pledge of Allegiance was composed by Francis Bellamy in August of 1892.  He was a Baptist and a socialist minister. He had hoped that it would be used by citizens in any country. In 1923, the words "the Flag of the United States of America were added. It was formally adopted as the pledge by Congress in 1942. The official name of The Pledge of Allegiance was adopted in 1945. Over the years there has been very little change to the exact words. The one that stands out the most, in that area, is a country/pop singer and comedian named Ray Stevens. You'll hear in this podcast about how his parents discovered their son had talents that were unimaginable. It happened when he was three years of age and wanted to take piano lessons. In their discussion with him and he said he would show them what he could do and they were amazed. Through watching Sesame Street and other children's shows on Television he loved the singing and music playing on the show and the songs for kids. He told his parents he could show them what he learned. What he showed them next as he sat at his keyboard was that once he heard a song he could play it back immediately note for note and sing the lyrics word for word that he just heard. Added to that though, she has something which is rare for singers and that is, she has a great speaking voice. When she speaks she has a very warm, soft and endearing voice. Who could ignore "We're All Alone", or "Close the Window, Calm the Light"? Rita was a fervent supporter of her Native American Heritage and her Cherokee ancestors. She had been married to Kris Kristofferson for eight years and sane and wrote several hit songs with her prolific songwriting husband.

At five years of age she was getting active at St. Paul's Baptist Church. She loved the church and its choir which was under the direction of Jakes Earle Hines. He was the one that first taught Etta to sing. "And what a Teacher he was". He expected his students to sing with fire and soul and told them, 'don't hold nothing back'. He had the ability to listen to a song on the radio and replay what he heard on his piano. One of the things that impressed me was his singing voice. He could effortlessly move from one register to another. He had a four octave singing voice. Some of my favorite Queen songs are "Crazy Little Thing Called Love", "Good Old Fashion Love" and "We Are the Champions". The band's initial label 'Mercury' chose the name "Queen" and since Freddie had taken up Art and Graphic Design in college decided to design the 'Queen Logo'. I do hope you will listen to the whole broadcast as at the end I will tell you the story of Freddie's character which is an admirable trait of him to have.
