Age, sex, appearance, or where one is from is immaterial. We are looking for one thing and one thing only - to discover good singers and musicians. The host of the Radio Show is Paul Romaine.

Some of the song titles give the reader insight into this great gospel album such as in the song 'Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus', 'Softly and Tenderly', 'In the Garden', and great standards such as "The Old Rugged Cross", and "How Great Thou Art". Their songs such as Soldier Boy, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, I Met Him on a Sunday, are legendary classics that most folks still can repeat the lyrics of those treasures. With a successful collaboration at Dixon and Scepter's promotion the Shirelles had seven top 20 hits. In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked the girls #76 on the list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. You will also hear of their early beginnings when the four teenagers were students at Passaic High School in New Jersey. While there, they entered a talent contest to sing a song they wrote titled "I Met Him on a Sunday".

He devotes much time to the Wounded Warriors vets and Operation Homefront, an organization that provides financial assistance to veterans. His hit song is "Still a Soldier" in honor of them.

Who could ever forget songs like Diana, Put Your Head On My Shoulder, and You Are My Destiny? They sold millions of records over time. In those early years, he also was on those massive tours that all the famous singers would be on. They would travel by bus for three months at a time, going from city to city. One of the tours was known as "The Show of Shows" tour. Another tour was called "The Cavalcade of Stars" show. And of course, all packed on the bus with several other singers who had hit records. The schedule was day to day and jumping on the bus after the first stop and getting back on to travel overnight to the next venue. And of course, music! music! music!

In their discussion with him and he said he would show them what he could do and they were amazed. Through watching Sesame Street and other children's shows on Television he loved the singing and music playing on the show and the songs for kids. What he showed them next as he sat at his keyboard was that once he heard a song he could play it back immediately note for note and sing the lyrics word for word that he just heard. Who could ignore "We're All Alone", or "Close the Window, Calm the Light"? Rita was a fervent supporter of her Native American Heritage and her Cherokee ancestors. At five years of age she was getting active at St. Paul's Baptist Church. She loved the church and its choir which was under the direction of Jakes Earle Hines. He was the one that first taught Etta to sing. "And what a Teacher he was". He expected his students to sing with fire and soul and told them, 'don't hold nothing back'. He had the ability to listen to a song on the radio and replay what he heard on his piano. One of the things that impressed me was his singing voice. He could effortlessly move from one register to another. He had a four octave singing voice. Some of my favorite Queen songs are "Crazy Little Thing Called Love", "Good Old Fashion Love" and "We Are the Champions". The band's initial label 'Mercury' chose the name "Queen" and since Freddie had taken up Art and Graphic Design in college decided to design the 'Queen Logo'. I do hope you will listen to the whole broadcast as at the end I will tell you the story of Freddie's character which is an admirable trait of him to have.
