Back in 2010, notable artists were on the rise, such as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Rihanna, while David Guetta found a way to creep up the Billboard charts by featuring vocal artists. In this episode, I'll be serving a fresh mix of tracks strictly from Club Soda -Season 5- at a flat tempo of 132 BPM. The content and mixing technique was an improvement from the previous seasons when I started podcasting. I hope you all enjoy this for the summer! In this episode, we will take a trip back to 2009, which was when Club Soda: Season 4 premiered as a podcast. Drifting away from the 2-hour radio format in seasons 1 through 3, each episode in season 4 was a continuous mix. I've selected a handful of tracks I felt truly defined me during that season. Essentially each episode became a mixtape, yet no solid foundation of what I was. Many seasons down the road, improvements were made, and I've returned to season 4 to redeem myself. A sequel to the previous episode is released to you all and this is probably one of my favorite mixes I've done so far. This episode contains new songs for the summer 2013 as well as hits from a several years ago. A variety of artists can be heard from Katy Perry to Yoko Ono! The tempo has been standardized to 132BPM.

Back on December 3rd, 2013, I've had requests from fans wanting to hear a mix from Thanksgiving Eve, but in it's mastered form. I was able to replicate that mix at home, with some minor adjustments. The reason I'm naming this "Crock Pot Throwback" is because the tempo is much slower than all of my other mixes (including Ep. 7-7A) and it contains a lot of songs from up to 20 years ago. I still maintain current hits in here, such as Roar, Blurred Lines, and Royals, and all songs are in their original or extended forms. This episode is dedicated to the 3rd season, which was the final season to be aired on the radio. 7 years ago, a trio of songs were transitioned back-to-back, followed by PSAs and promos from the radio station. It was a two hour show from 8-10PM on Friday nights, a primetime slot for easy access to club music for house parties to call and request. Seasons 1 and 2 are consolidated in this episode to observe the birth and progression of this special program. When "Club Soda" first aired on the KJHK 90.7FM, there wasn't much continuous mixing applied. As a radio DJ, I had not discovered within myself to mix songs in a club style until later on. 10 years later, a retro set was crafted to take a look at history in a nonstop mix. A short 30 minutes full of glorious club classics from the 70s and 80s come together to provide a groove that will set you on a stroll down through memory lane. It just seems like the newer generation of music listeners do not recognize the significance of music from those decades anymore. Although it's a short episode, this won't be the last time you'll hear of this. DJ Chef Nguyen returns to present "Club Soda 10: Pendual", celebrating 10 seasons of the numerous radio broadcasts and mixshow podcasts. To observe such success for the last 10 years, this episode features 1 selected track from each season and mixed in chronological order. However as a tradition that started in season 5, a recap of the previous season's hits (mixed or missed) is very much needed; a crossover of songs from 2015 - 2016.
