All addictions send a person in one direction and one direction only: down. Sexual sin, drugs, alcohol, and even entertainment all promise fulfillment. But as a soul continually heeds temptation’s voice, it becomes increasingly corrupted: crossing lines that once seemed too far away and growing attracted to things that once seemed repulsive. This is called the Spiral of Degradation. This dark path always leads to ruin. Yet through the power of God and His gift of repentance, that journey can be reversed. Revelation 10 & 11: In chapter 10, the angels give John a taste of what is to come in the last days. He is given a book to consume which begins sweet, but sours when digested. Chapter 11 shows the mighty two witnesses challenging those who dwell on the earth of their sinfulness.
