Guest Pastor Ryan Yates spoke on the question, “Why do bad things happen to good people?” He explored both Scripture and his own personal story to bring insight to the topic.

Pastor Derek shared a message on the power of the Holy Spirit and why we intentionally make space for Him to move in Chi Alpha. He grounded it in Scripture, explaining spiritual gifts and why we are called to pursue them.

Pastor Daniel preached on why we affirm women in ministry. He walked through the biblical foundations for this belief, showing that it’s rooted in Scripture, not modern cultural trends.

Pastor Joel kicked off our new “Why?” series, where we explore some of today’s biggest questions and hot topics. In this message, he unpacks why we can trust the Bible, drawing on both historical evidence and biblical principles to challenge us to place full confidence in God’s Word.

Pastor Amber preached on how our culture subtly teaches us to idolize romance above our relationship with the Lord. She reminded us that Scripture shows only God loves us deeply and faithfully enough to be worthy of our worship.

Pastor Derek teaches on honoring our bodies and living holy lives in the area of sexuality, reminding us that God’s design is far better than what hookup culture promises.

Pastor Derek reminded us that we all long to leave a legacy. As followers of Jesus, that legacy is built through the Great Commission, becoming disciples who make disciples.

Pastor Joel preached from Ephesians, encouraging us to live extraordinary lives marked by purpose. He reminded us that God calls us to live with direction, not to just drift through life.

Pastor Derek taught that love is the measure of spiritual maturity. If our time with Jesus isn’t making us more loving, then we’re missing the point of being with Him.

To kick off the Spring Semester, Pastor Derek taught from Esau’s decision to sell his birthright for a moment of pleasure. His message invited us to examine our own lives and ask whether we’re settling for what’s temporary instead of valuing what’s eternal.

Pastor Derek shared a special Christmas message before Winter Break, focusing on how Jesus embraced the unseen life. He reminded us that, like Jesus, we’re called to walk in humility and serve others quietly and faithfully. Instead of pursuing recognition or a platform, we’re invited to adopt a “manger mentality” : choosing lowliness, surrender, and obedience as we follow Jesus.

Pastor Derek closed out our Eremos series with a message on remaining persistent in our time with the Lord, especially in wilderness seasons. He reminded us that we experience God’s power as we continually seek Him.

Pastor Aaron spoke about wilderness seasons and how God can use even our hardest moments to shape us. When we choose to seek Him in those times, what feels barren can actually become a place of blessing.

Pastor Derek continued our Eremos series by teaching on the value of friendship with Jesus. To encounter the Eremos, we must learn to linger with the Lord, to “waste time” in His presence and truly know Him.

Pastor Derek Quinby preached on what it means to enter the eremos—the wilderness—with the Lord. As followers of Christ, we’re called to step away from the noise, spend time alone with Jesus, and allow Him to minister to our souls.

Pastor Derek unpacks Mark 2:13–17 and challenges us to live sent, just like Jesus did. Living sent isn’t a moment: it’s a lifestyle.

For the final week of our “All In” series, Pastor Joel Allen shared a message on how followers of Christ are called to move from being self-focused to living sent on mission.

This week, we paused our All In series for a special message called More to prepare our hearts for Fall Retreat. Pastor Derek shared about the power of the Holy Spirit and how He moves in our lives when we let Him.
