Carney says all the traffic brings tons of noise on the ice especially without a lot of snow. Carney also details how disruptive wind can be to ice fishing but anticipates a big week ahead due to calmer weather.

He recommends waiting another week before bringing the big machines on the ice. Steve also says without the snow the fish are very easily spooked. They can hear everything going on above the ice so quit your yapping and save it for the fireplace when you get inside. The Steves also discuss ice fishing participation booming, the fastest growing of the outdoor activities. Steve also provides his turkey jerky making process and how accessible it is for you!
