Psalm 4:1-8 1 Answer me when I call to you, my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; have mercy on me and hear my prayer.  2 How long will you people turn my glory into shame? How long will you love delusions and seek false gods  3 Know that the LORD has set apart his faithful servant for himself; the LORD hears when I call to him.  4Tremble and do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent.  5 Offer the sacrifices of the righteous and trust in the LORD.  6 Many, LORD, are asking, “Who will bring us prosperity?” Let the light of your face shine on us.  7 Fill my heart with joy when their grain and new wine abound.  8 In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.  

John 14:1-7 1“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

Psalm 139:7-12 7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. 9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. 11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” 12 even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.

Psalm 121:1-7 1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—     where does my help come from? 2  My help comes from the Lord,     the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not let your foot slip—     he who watches over you will not slumber; 4 indeed, he who watches over Israel     will neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord watches over you—     the Lord is your shade at your right hand; 6 the sun will not harm you by day,     nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord will keep you from all harm—     he will watch over your life; 8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Psalm 116:8-16 For you, Lord, have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling, 9 that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living. 10 I trusted in the Lord when I said, “I am greatly afflicted”; 11 in my alarm I said, “Everyone is a liar.” 12 What shall I return to the Lord for all his goodness to me? 13 I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord. 14 I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people. 15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants. 16 Truly I am your servant, Lord; I serve you just as my mother did; you have freed me from my chains.

Proverbs 8:12-21 12 “I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence;     I possess knowledge and discretion. 13 To fear the Lord is to hate evil;     I hate pride and arrogance,     evil behavior and perverse speech. 14 Counsel and sound judgment are mine;     I have insight, I have power. 15 By me kings reign     and rulers issue decrees that are just; 16 by me princes govern,     and nobles—all who rule on earth.[b] 17 I love those who love me,     and those who seek me find me. 18 With me are riches and honor,     enduring wealth and prosperity. 19 My fruit is better than fine gold;     what I yield surpasses choice silver. 20 I walk in the way of righteousness,     along the paths of justice, 21 bestowing a rich inheritance on those who love me     and making their treasuries full.

Philippians 2:1-5 1 Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. 5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

To them I’m just a broken-down wall or a tottering fence. 4 They plan to topple me from my high position. They delight in telling lies about me. They praise me to my face but curse me in their hearts. Interlude 5 Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. 6 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. 7 My victory and honor come from God alone.
