Previously in Valentin & The Widow: It is 1924. Eleanora Rosewood and her valet Sacha Valentin are in Paris, where the Baron von Peller und Karne has tested an Edgar Rosewood weapon that kills with sound. The pair have come to an Olympic art gala to prevent the machine being used to assassinate the President of France. The Baron in turn may be murdered by his mistress Adeline or her lover Jude. Sacha has run into his old foe Sebastien Van Sant, while Eleanora finds herself at knifepoint. Our story concludes.

Previously in Valentin & The Widow: It is 1924. Dominion in Paris has created a weapon that kills with sound, and the Baron von Peller und Karne has used it to murder a group of young socialist radicals. The only survivors were Adeline and Jude, two lovers now separated by fear for each other's safety. They each plot to take revenge on the Baron and his conspirators before he uses the machine again, but Lady Rosewood has come to Adeline to find a solution that avoids bloodshed - only for the Baron to arrive at Adeline's dressing room door. Paris showgirl Adeline Laligne saw her radical friends in the Bohemian League murdered by a deadly music box planted by her lover, the Baron von Peller und Karne. Eleanora Rosewood believes this weapon, the Calliope, was her late husband's invention... but is Edgar truly dead? The lady saw his double on the riverbank, and the Baron has invited her to a party in Lord Rosewood's honour. Meanwhile, Sacha's return to Paris has stirred memories that he would sooner forget, and reunited him with a familiar nemesis, Igor Bravanti.

The story so far. In Shanghai, Lady Rosewood undermined her late husband's plan to destroy the city with an earthquake machine, and recruited Russian sailor Sacha Valentin to serve as her valet. In Havana, the pair rescued a group of girls from a ladies' finishing school that planned to turn them into assassins. In Cairo, they uncovered a plot to seize the British throne through a marriage arranged by the Baron von Peller und Karne. It is 1924. The adventures continue...

Previously in Valentin & The Widow: It is 1924. Dominion is holding a motherless boy hostage to blackmail the Prince of Wales into marrying one of their agents. Their man on the ground, Daniel Decameron, is pursuing his own agenda. He has arranged for the boy's governess to bring him two ancient statues of mystical significance. Lady Rosewood and her valet have followed the governess to a desolate village on the edge of the city, where Decameron has invited the lady -  at gunpoint - to witness an arcane ritual.

Eleanora Rosewood and Sacha Valentin are in Cairo, where the wicked Dominion cabal has tried to place an agent in the British royal family as wife to the Prince of Wales. The plot failed, but the disreputable Professor Decameron has a new plan.
