Trouble may very well be the context in which we’re most familiar with God. We often find ourselves in times of trouble because we’re walking with God. Our obedience will often land us in compromising situations, but that’s where faith comes in. We have to believe the trouble we find ourselves in is temporary and that God is our refuge, strength, and very present help in the midst of it. http://yourdigitalpastor.co

Waiting on the Lord is not easy. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying to you and to themselves. It’s hard because we so desperately want our plan to be God’s plan, rather than discerning God’s plan and lining up with that. The “let your heart take courage” piece is key here because we’re fearful of things not working the way we want them to, but if we can press past that fear and disappointment, we can be blessed. http://yourdigitalpastor.co

God is love. Cool, we all know that, but what does that really mean and how does that impact our daily lives? How do we show the love of God everyday? The apostle Paul gives us the blueprint for that in this most common passage of scripture. http://yourdigitalpastor.co

If your heart isn’t right, you could possibly find yourself in a lame duck situation as a leader—a leader with the position, with the title, with the letters behind your name, but no power or, more importantly, no anointing. God looks at the condition of our heart, above all else, to assess our readiness for leadership, so let’s concentrate on fixing that first before chasing everything else. http://yourdigitalpastor.co

Just as Gary Vaynerchuk admonishes us to never be too romantic about one particular platform when it comes to branding and marketing, we cannot be romantic about our own plans because if they’re not God’s plans, there’s no point in hanging onto them, for they’re never going to work, no matter how committed we are to them. http://yourdigitalpastor.co
