  • The Heart of a King: Lessons on Leadership from the Bible

    07/01/2024 Duração: 44min

Leadership Principle: Your character, not your accomplishment, is the most important part of your leadership. God rejected Saul’s leadership as king because he cared more about his fame than God’s name. Studying lessons on leadership from the Bible, we see that God cares most about our hearts because our hearts define our inner character (See 1 Samuel 13:13-14). Your identity inwardly defines your activity outwardly. We can learn valuable lessons about leadership from the Bible by examining the life of King David. David’s predecessor, Saul, looked like a strong leader, warrior, and king. But he was very cowardly. What did God see in David’s heart? David had a heart of humility. David had a heart of fidelity. David had a heart that longed to be holy. David had a heart that beat courageously. God has a plan for you to be a kingdom leader in some capacity. Like David, you have been anointed with the Spirit of God for leadership in the Kingdom of God if you have received the Son of God! Like David, God is c

  • Names of God: Jesus - Savior

    24/12/2023 Duração: 31min

God is very specific with the names that He reveals Himself with. The name Jesus means “Savior.” Jesus came to save us from our sins. Romans 3:23 tells us that all of us have sinned, so we are all under the penalty of sin. We cannot save ourselves. We need a Savior. As our Savior, Jesus offers us 2 gifts… 1. Jesus offers redemption. God’s law demands perfection. Without salvation through our Savior, we are condemned to eternity, separated from Jesus. Since God desires a relationship with us, He sent His Son to pay the price for our sins. Jesus offers us grace and mercy through the gift of redemption. 2. Jesus offers a relationship. When you receive Jesus, the Son of God, you become an heir of God as a child of God! God wants a personal relationship with you, but only you can decide to receive Jesus as your Savior. Will you receive the gift of eternal life and a relationship with Jesus? Don’t forget to click the “bell” to SUBSCRIBE to get more videos like this to grow your faith! ● Connect with

  • Names of God: Isaiah 9:6-7

    17/12/2023 Duração: 32min

In Isaiah 9:6-7, we find 4 names of God describing who Jesus is. Only as you know who Jesus is can you know who you are! The 4 names in Isaiah each have a personal meaning for believers. 1. Wonderful Counselor - Jesus has the wise counsel we need for every situation. 2. Mighty God - Jesus is a warrior. He is completely unstoppable and all-powerful! 3. Everlasting Father - Jesus is more than a “distant deity.” He came to make us part of His family. Jesus came to reveal the Father who loves His sons and daughters. 4. Prince of Peace - When Christ returns, He will bring peace on earth! Peace can’t be found in your circumstances because they will change. Jesus is not coming to take a side; He’s coming to take over! There are still battles to fight, but Jesus has won the war. The names in Isaiah 9:6-7 remind us that Jesus lives to bring peace to our hearts and lives. The rule of God brings the peace of God. John 16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace…” Let Jesus rule every

  • Names of God: Immanuel – God With Us

    10/12/2023 Duração: 35min

Immanuel, meaning “God with us,” is one of God’s most significant names. Immanuel is with us in everything we do, which informs how we live and who we are. In Matthew 1:22-23, Matthew says that Jesus is the fulfillment of the promised victory from Isaiah: “So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, ‘God with us.’” Jesus put on humanity to be with us. He is present in our lives today, tomorrow, and every day after. Join Pastor Chad as he shows us how Jesus is Immanuel, God with us, in every aspect of our lives. • Names of God: Jehovah Rapha – The Lord Our Healer

    03/12/2023 Duração: 43min

Psalm 103 reveals our God as Jehovah Rapha, the Lord our Healer. God promises to heal us physically eventually. But most important is when He heals us spiritually. God will one day heal our bodies, but Jesus came first to heal our hearts through salvation. Salvation comes in 3 stages: 1. Justification 2. Sanctification 3. Glorification Some of us will experience healing on earth, while others will not experience true healing until eternity. God promises to provide healing physically, relationally, emotionally, and mentally. But He may not always fulfill that promise in our timing. Most people focus on treating the symptoms of sin instead of treating the root cause. God forgives our sins privately when we confess them to Him, but He also heals us in community. It is time to come out of hiding so Jehovah Rapha can heal your heart. • Names of God: Yahweh Rohi – The Lord is My Shepherd

    26/11/2023 Duração: 40min

Psalm 23, one of the most famous and well-known passages of Scripture, reveals God’s name, “Yahweh Rohi,” meaning the Lord my Shepherd. David likely wrote this psalm during personal darkness while running for his life. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want…”—Psalm 23:1 3 ways that Jesus is the Lord our Shepherd: 1. Jesus is our Peace. 2. Jesus is our Protection. 3. Jesus is our Provision. In Psalm 23, David talks about the rod and staff that comforts them. The Shepherd has both a rod and a staff to protect the sheep. The rod protects us from enemies, and the staff protects us from ourselves. Jesus is the Shepherd who came as a man to die for our sins as a sacrificial lamb. Have you placed your faith in Him to dwell in His house forever? • The Names of God: Jehovah Jireh

    19/11/2023 Duração: 47min

In Genesis 22:14, we are introduced to Jehovah Jireh, meaning “God Provides.” The story is a picture of God’s provision for our salvation through Christ’s death and resurrection. When God called Abraham to sacrifice his son, Abraham fully trusted God would resurrect his son from the dead. He didn’t understand why God was testing him or how God would resurrect Isaac, but he trusted in His provision and promises. Abraham called the mountain that he climbed to sacrifice Isaac “Jehovah Jireh” because God provided a sacrificial ram to take Isaac’s place. Abraham saw the provision of the Lord on the mountain, and he wanted the mountain’s name to remind himself and others that God is our Provider. God is Jehovah Jireh because He provided a Savior. God Himself became a Man to die as our sacrificial lamb. Because of God’s provision, we get to spend eternity in heaven. • The Names of God: Yahweh

    12/11/2023 Duração: 39min

Yahweh is God’s first name. This name reveals His nature as a personal God who desires a personal relationship with His people. In Exodus 33, Moses wanted to experience God. He wanted to behold God’s presence and beauty so He could know Him better. God could not allow Moses to see His face, but He let His glory and presence pass by him. God wants you to know His name to encounter His glory. He is not some distant deity that we pay homage to. He is not aloof and unaware of you. He wants you to know His name and be on a first-name basis with you. Not only does God want us to know His name, He wants us to understand what He is like. He is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Yahweh is worthy of our praise. • The Names of God: Elohim - God of Creation

    05/11/2023 Duração: 39min

Elohim is the Hebrew word used over 2500 times to describe the sovereign God of creation. It implies the all-powerful nature of God, who is self-existing outside of time and space. Elohim implies a plurality of majesty, which is the triune nature of God. It does not imply that there are multiple gods, but one God, with a triune Godhead: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. All of creation reflects the image of the triune nature of Elohim. “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse…”—Romans 1:20 Elohim made Adam’s race to bear His triune image. He has redeemed us to have a relationship with Him. Join Pastor Phil as he unpacks the triune nature of Elohim and how we can be His image-bearers on earth! • Israel, Hamas, and the Second Coming of Christ

    29/10/2023 Duração: 53min

Does the war between Israel and Hamas have any prophetic significance concerning the second coming of Christ? Everything we see happening in the world reflects the warfare in the unseen realm. Satan hates the Jews because they gave us the Savior King, who will forever crush his kingdom. Throughout their history, the Jews have faced one holocaust after another because if Satan can destroy the Jews, he can destroy God’s plan for a Kingdom. God warns that He will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse her (Genesis 12:3). The events happening in Israel and the Middle East are setting the stage for the second coming of Christ. As we watch them unfold, we must remember that Hamas’s violence and brutality do not surprise God. One day soon, He will crush Satan’s earthly kingdom and the corruption of the nations and establish His everlasting Kingdom. Join Pastor Phil as he shares the prophetic significance of the attack on Israel and how it points to the second coming of Christ. Don’t forget to cli

  • Life Change Sunday

    22/10/2023 Duração: 31min

Baptism and communion are biblical traditions through which we communicate obedience to God and proclaim how He changed our lives. We are saved by grace alone through faith alone. However, many people confuse the symbols of our salvation with the source of our salvation. But God did not send His Son to give us more religion; He came to give us redemption. Religion takes the symbols of our salvation, like baptism and communion, and makes them the source. Redemption does the opposite. Salvation is not built on what you do for yourself. It is a gift. Many people know religion but do not have a genuine relationship with God. Jesus came to redeem us from our sins and give us an example of how to live changed lives. When you are saved, God no longer sees you; He sees His Son. Baptism and communion do not save you. They are outward expressions of an inward transformation. Baptism symbolizes a burial, dying to self, sin, and past, and being resurrected to newness of life. Communion proclaims you have received

  • Here’s How to Biblically Prepare Your Children for the Days Ahead

    15/10/2023 Duração: 49min

You have approximately 6500 days with your child from birth until it is time to release them into the world. How do you biblically prepare your children for the days ahead? The goal is to keep your children behind walls of protection in the early years and then gradually open the gates in the latter years. Biblically prepare your children for the days ahead—begin opening the gates—using these 4 principles... Give them a sense of identity. Help them begin answering the question, “Who am I?” Give them a sense of mission eternally. Teach them biblical theology and help them discover an eternal life mission. Prepare them for life practically. Teach them how to pursue the opposite sex in a healthy way, how to keep their sexual purity, how to handle money, how to prepare for a career that fits their natural abilities, etc. Give them the family blessing. Psalm 128:1, “Blessed is every one who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways.” Like an aging olive tree, when you biblically prepare your children, your life will

  • What to Do When Life Doesn’t Go as Planned

    08/10/2023 Duração: 44min

What do you do when the worst thing you can imagine becomes your reality? What do you do when life doesn’t go as planned and takes a detour? Job’s story is a well-known story of grief, perseverance, and patience. His life was on track then disaster hit. His life went from bad to worse. But does Job’s story also give us a pattern of how to respond when life gets messy? Yes! Job did 3 things during the difficult season written about in the Bible. When examining the aspects of his story, you will know what to do when life doesn’t go as planned. WHAT JOB DID IN THE TRIALS OF LIFE 1. Job made a choice. Job fell to the ground and worshiped God. He acknowledged that the Lord gives and takes away. He praised the name of the Lord despite his circumstances. Determine the choice you will make now before the trial comes so you are prepared to persevere when life doesn’t go as planned. 2. Job wrestled with God. Often, we think we can never question God. God can handle our doubts and questions. He wants us to br

  • Castles Part 6 – What Does the Bible Say About Discipline and Christian Parenting?

    01/10/2023 Duração: 48min

The goal of discipline in Christian parenting is to aim our children toward God so they become godly people – not just “good” people! If your aim is anything less than for your kids to be godly, you have the wrong aim. Every castle has walls and gates. Walls are for protection, and gates are for preparation. Biblical Christian parenting calls us to shape our children’s hearts into Christlikeness. How to shape a child’s heart into godly character qualities: • Teach them to submit to authority. • Teach them to obey instantly. • Teach them humility and to make others their priority. • Teach them the gospel of what Jesus did at Calvary. • Teach them to give their heart to Jesus. • Castles Part 3 – Biblical Roles in Marriage

    03/09/2023 Duração: 49min

In marriage, there is no struggle for control of the throne when Jesus alone sits on the throne of your home. The way to end the battle of the sexes and establish roles in marriage is for men and women to get off the throne and let God build their homes! IF YOU DON’T WANT A MARRIAGE ON THE ROCKS, DON’T ROCK THE ROLLS Responsibilities are interchangeable; roles aren’t! In marriage, men and women are equal, but we’re not the same – we differ in function. Our society has tried to reverse the roles, erase the roles, and rock the roles, but it’s God who ultimately defines the roles in marriage! SUBMISSION IS WHAT ENDS THE COMPETITION God’s blessing on the family always flows through a chain of command. The key to overcoming marital conflict and division is mutual submission. When a husband and wife are in submission to God, they will naturally be in submission to each other. God puts authority in our lives not to oppress us but to protect and bless us. The wife submits to her husband’s lead, and the husband s

  • Castles Part 2 - What Does the Bible Say about Marriage?

    27/08/2023 Duração: 48min

In Matthew 7:24-27, Jesus teaches us what the Bible says about marriage. He reminds us that the foundation for your house – your marriage – must be the Rock, the Lord Jesus Christ! WHAT A CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE SHOULD LOOK LIKE We live in a time of self-idolatry and anarchy. Homes around us are suffering because couples aren’t willing to die to their flesh and serve their spouses. When you say, “I do,” at the altar, you say, “I die,” too. A Christian marriage should be filled with… The fear of the Lord – submitting to God’s authority brings peace instead of anarchy. Obedience to God’s Word – we can’t live abundantly apart from living obediently. When your house becomes God’s house, your home can survive a firestorm of destruction. THE BIBLICAL FRAMEWORK OF MARRIAGE Marriage is about a commission (Genesis 2:18). Adam did not need someone to complete him but rather someone to help in his God-given commission. Marriage is about a crucifixion (Genesis 2:19-22). Adam “died” giving life to his bri
