Brutally Honest Reviews | Instant Family (2018) - "Sending Nudes To Alternate Reality Kurt Cobain"
27/12/2018 Duração: 38minHey everyone and welcome back to Brutally Honest Reviews, only on The Brutally Honest Network. We hope everyone had an awesome Christmas and Holidays, to whatever you do or don't celebrate. We didn't want to post on the Holiday and take away from family time so here is our newest review keeping with the family theme, "Instant Family" 2018. A Comedy Drama that hit theaters by surprise this past couple weeks starring Mark Wahlberg & Rose Byrne deciding to adopt a kid, and end up adopting a family of three. We had mixed thoughts on this one, but we were unanimously excited about co-starring comedians, Tig Notaro & Tom Segura being involved as well and having quite decent size roles. Check it out, let us know what you think. Are you sick of Mark Wahlberg? Remember to always keep it Brutally Honest! Brutally Honest Reviews | The Possession of Hannah Grace (2018) - "Beautiful Disaster"
18/12/2018 Duração: 59minHey everyone and welcome back to Brutally Honest Reviews, only on The Brutally Honest Network. This evening we have a treat. The rare, so bad it's good horror film. This Boston Hospital Morgue set possession thriller tries to make strides with cheap scares, thinly developed characters, poor dialogue and general nonsense. There will always be a novelty for B-Horror movies so while we did enjoy the film for it's unintentional stupidity, we had to be a little Brutally Honest here. Check out what we thought inside. This was a fun review, terrible film, but fun review. Remember to always keep it Brutally Honest, even if you're an indie filmmaker and the project is local. Brutally Honest Reviews | The Girl... (2018) - "I Just Want To Go To Some Swedish Underground Club"
13/12/2018 Duração: 42minHey everyone and welcome back to Brutally Honest Reviews, only on The Brutally Honest Network. This week we have an installment in "The Girl Who" series. Foreshadowed by the prior films, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire & The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest, this is the 2nd American adaptation of the originally Swedish franchise which in turn is a book series adaptation by the author Stieg Larsson. But wait, there's more. That author didn't write this book or screenplay. That's right. Another author has somehow been allowed to coin an installment in the deceased author's series, which in my opinion is capitalism at it's finest (Evan). Claire Foy takes over for Rooney Mara, whom played the lead in all of the other films. An interesting note, when you realize that neither the original Director, David Fincher or the popular co-star Daniel Craig signed onto this one. Makes you wonder. Take a listen, let us know what you think and remember to always keep it Brutally Hon

Brutally Honest Reviews | Fantastic Beasts 2... (2018) - "All I Got Was Johnny Depp In Makeup"
06/12/2018 Duração: 01h06minHey everyone and welcome back to Brutally Honest Reviews, only on The Brutally Honest Network. We are stoked to bring you our review of Fantastic Beasts 2: The Crimes of Grindelwald today. This was a sequel to what appeared to be a more family friendly and storyline optional entry in the Harry Potter franchise, ripe with your casting scandals, rushed screenwriting and certainly other unsightly things you'll unearth. Filmmaking aside, coming into this film we can understand it's occasional charm, but we certainly had a lot to say. Brutally Honest Reviews | Widows (2018) - "I Think You Just Had A Drunk Theater"
04/12/2018 Duração: 01h06minHey everybody. Welcome back to Brutally Honest Reviews. Some of us have been looking forward to today's movie for months and others had absolutely no idea what it was. Let me tell you, Widows is a very heavily layered film. Director Steve McQueen, whom's other projects include Shame, Hunger & 12 Years A Slave, he is not afraid to push the boundaries of going where other filmmakers shy away from. This being his passion project, why not have a fully loaded cast consisting of Michelle Rodriguez, Liam Neeson, Viola Davis and many many more. Brutally Honest Reviews | Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) - "We'll Call Him Ramen Noodles"
29/11/2018 Duração: 01h08minWelcome back everybody to Brutally Honest Reviews, only on The Brutally Honest Network. Today we are reviewing a film that is turning a lot of heads. A biopic on Queen, or more specifically on the rise and fall of lead singer Freddie Mercury, played expertly by Rami Malek. The film was touching, super accurate in a lot of aspects, but super inaccurate in a lot of more important aspects, depending on who you are. See what we thought about this biopic and if it should be rightfully named a biopic at all in our review, and remember to always keep it Brutally Honest!!! Brutally Honest Reviews | Mid 90's (2018) - "He Touched His Hair!"
27/11/2018 Duração: 56minHey everybody. Welcome back to Brutally Honest Reviews. This week we are taking on the Jonah Hill Directed Mid 90's, which was a very interesting film. Shot on film, framed and graded to look period with the 90's. This film definitely had the look. This film is a coming of age drama tackling finding your identity and finding your way. A soundtrack reminiscent of Tony Hawk Pro Skater Soundtracks filled this entertaining story of heart and misadventure. Check out what we thought! Brutally Honest Reviews | Overlord(2018) - "I Speak German, I Took One Semester In College"
22/11/2018 Duração: 01h18minHappy Thanksgiving everyone! We hope you are enjoying a beer and some turkey and watching some flicks this Thanksgiving with your family and friends. Orrrrrr, checking out another special installment of Brutally Honest Reviews! *wink* *wink* . All the battles, all the nazis. This week we are taking on the Germans! Last week was the Russians, that's old news. This week we are reviewing Overlord, which was a very strange film, but also very cliche. The trailer was lackluster, some disagree, but there was a lot more to offer than the initial trailer. Holy gore and pretty close to historically accurate in terms of weaponry & set design with the added addendum if a Nazi super soldier zombie plot. This doesn't really give anything away, the trailer makes this pretty apparent. See what we thought and let us know what you thought and remember to always keep it Brutally Honest! Brutally Honest Reviews | Hunter Killer(2018) - "The Only Thing Scarier Than Russians, Drone Shots"
20/11/2018 Duração: 49minWelcome back to The Brutally Honest Network for another installment of Brutally Honest Reviews. This week we are plumbing the depths of the ocean with our captain Gerard Butler. And we are god damn scared. This film probably didn't need to exist and makes us wonder who asks for movies like this. But anyway, we saw it. Hunter Killer is a glorified submarine war film that plays off the never ending Cold War feeling the U.S. & Russia cannot seem to shake. Common makes an appearance, if you want to call it that and we do get some refreshing hand to hand combat. Enjoy, let us know what you think and remember to always keep it Brutally Honest! Brutally Honest Reviews | First Man(2018) - "Ryan Gosling Is Staring At The Moon Again"
13/11/2018 Duração: 01h04minWelcome back to The Brutally Honest Network for another installment of Brutally Honest Reviews. This week we are traveling to space to check out First Man, yet another film based loosely on the first moon landing. Ryan Gosling plays the eccentric Neil Armstrong in what is a psychologically jarring and nerve racking drama thriller that doesn't just explore the trials and tribulations of space travel, but also goes into the despair that is long distance relationships with kids involved. A lot of people have been waiting a long time for this film and who could blame us when they released a very vague, but exciting trailer nearly a year ago. Today we are back from a week off to bring you the Action Thriller, White Boy Rick starring Mathew McConaughey, a handful of relative unknowns and a couple familiar faces for some of us. This was a pretty surprisingly well crafted little, based on a true story, crime slow burner more about the sociology of 1980's Detroit than a mindless action film. Brutally Honest Reviews | Alpha (2018) - "A Different Kind of Movie"
18/09/2018 Duração: 52minWelcome back to The Brutally Honest Network for another installment of Brutally Honest Reviews. Today we are back to original structure. We are diving into a film that I wish more people saw. Alpha (2018) is about the domestication of the first dog, loosely. And by loosely, well if you went to go see it you know. This film was beautifully shot, is action packed, equally sad and uplifting. Some might even call this a family film. We had mixed reviews here, but in one of our best podcasts yet, listen what we thought and let us know what you thought. As always, keep it Brutally Honest.

Brutally Honest Reviews | Mile 22 (2018) - "It's Mark Wahlberg Kid!"
11/09/2018 Duração: 01h03minWelcome back to The Brutally Honest Network for another installment of Brutally Honest Reviews. This week we honestly tried to go into Mile 22, but despite us having broadly mixed opinions, the podcast turned into a weird free for all some of you will love and others will not. The plot really was, just. that. bad. We will be back to our standard review structure next week with our review of Alpha. Have fun at our expense and remember to always keep it Brutally Honest!
