Though my past 25+ years in the hallowed halls of Corporate America, a new calling has awakened within me. A yearning to invest in the radiant souls of humanity. Rob Helms   Rob founded RD Productions, LLC in 2015. RD Productions, LLC had their first national act at the Morgan County Fair in Martinsville, Indiana in 2016 with the legendary Charlie Daniels Band. Since 2016 Rob and his team have booked over 200 concerts. Rob currently is in the ninth year of RD Productions, LLC. He and his business partner Ken Fraley are very excited about what the future brings for all the concerts and what impact these events will have on each community. Not only is Rob the Co-Owner of RD Productions LLC but he is the drummer and manager of the band Bigg Country, which he co-founded almost 30 years ago. He also plays drums in the gospel band DownPour. One of Rob’s favorite things he gets to do around Christmastime is play drums in the Jingle Bell Rockin’ Tribute Band that honors the Christmas Classic “Jingle Bell Rock” and his late father Bobby Helms who is the original artist of this cherished seasonal song. Ms. Beverly passed the torch after 55 years of ownership. Katie has been a part of Stage I Dance Academy since elementary school. Katie has a degree in Business Management from the Kelley School of Business, is a graduate of Leadership Johnson County’s class of 2018 and a member of Aspire Johnson County. Her passion is providing a nurturing environment for children to develop as not only dancers, but young ladies and gentlemen. Her favorite aspect of dance is giving back to the community, which is why God led her to start a nonprofit, Dance Every Journey. Dance Every Journey provides free dance programming for senior citizens and veterans. Between Stage I Dance Academy and Dance Every Journey, we're now honored to serve ages 15 months- 103 years of age. This week's Everyday Business Leader celebrates Rose Myers: I never aspired to be a martial artist, nor to own and operate a martial arts school, but God had other plans that I followed willingly. *MY* plan was earning an Environmental Engineering degree from the University of Dayton and working to protect the state of Indiana working at IDEM (Indy’s EPA). Then I was told I had a hormonal disease that prevented me from conceiving children. But God is greater than science and had bigger plans for me. After giving birth, I retired from my engineering job for this single chance of parenting my precious child. Backing up a bit, my senior year in college someone was raped by my campus house, driving me to seek training from my internship co-worker at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. After college I relocated to Indiana, entered the ATA, and began formal training. I earned my First Degree Black Belt and entered the Certified Instructor Training program in December of 1999. When the founding director moved to Florida, I had the honor and privilege of stepping in and leading the staff and volunteers to serve our community. We are all called to serve and help our neighbors, but it is an honor to be part of a community that cares deeply and loves intently. Many do not realize the needs that exist in our community – so awareness is key. But once you are aware of a need – you HAVE to respond. Especially for Christians – we are called to love. I am married and have six beautiful daughters and six amazing grandchildren. I love being a mamaw. I take my role in their lives seriously.
