Episode 95- So I Married an Axe Murderer (1993)
22/09/2021 Duração: 01h12minJust after a bad breakup, Charlie MacKenzie (Mike Myers) falls for lovely butcher Harriet Michaels (Nancy Travis) and introduces her to his parents. But, as voracious consumers of sensational tabloids, his parents soon come to suspect that Harriet is actually a notorious serial killer -- "Mrs. X" -- wanted in connection with a string of bizarre honeymoon killings. Thinking his parents foolish, Charlie proposes to Harriet. But while on his honeymoon with her, he begins to fear they were right. We're heading back to the 90's where we are filled to the brim with quotable lines, Scottish accents and trying to guess if our leading lady is killing off her husbands. That's right it's 1993's "So I Married An Axe Murderer" for our #SerialKiller genre! Host Jack brings us a true favorite of his from his childhood and we're delighted he did. We discuss Mike Myers and his career, the ample talent of the side characters and get down creatively with our own "Murderous" personas. Also, you get to finally find out why w

Episode 94- Rat Race (2001)
08/09/2021 Duração: 01h09minIn an ensemble film about easy money, greed, manipulation and bad driving, a Las Vegas casino tycoon entertains his wealthiest high rollers -- a group that will bet on anything -- by pitting six ordinary people against each other in a wild dash for $2 million jammed into a locker hundreds of miles away. The tycoon and his wealthy friends monitor each racer's every move to keep track of their favorites. The only rule in this race is that there are no rules. $2 Million Dollars! That's what is at stake and we have the movie JUST for you! Host Drew brings us a film that he loved when it came out and still laughs at today with 2001's Rat Race! The hilarious antics of the cast, the quotable lines and yes even admitting to some of the nonsense that doesn't need to be there is all you'll be getting today! However there is a shocking development from Host Jack with his review of this film and Nathan finds himself in the middle. We can't wait for you to join us! We'll see you at the finish line! Episode 93- American History X (1998)
25/08/2021 Duração: 01h21minLiving a life marked by violence and racism, neo-Nazi Derek Vinyard (Edward Norton) finally goes to prison after killing two black youths who tried to steal his car. Upon his release, Derek vows to change his ways; he hopes to prevent his younger brother, Danny (Edward Furlong), who idolizes Derek, from following in his footsteps. As he struggles with his own deeply ingrained prejudices and watches their mother grow sicker, Derek wonders if his family can overcome a lifetime of hate. Well when Nathan says he has a Tragedy genre film for us, he doesn't fail. Today we tackle 1998's "American History X" and we all agree that it's a very well done movie... but damn is it heavy. However, even the weight of the subject matter, doesn't overshadow the performances of Edward Norton and Edward Furlong. Heck, we even get to say hi to Avery Brooks, best known as Captain Benjamin Sisko from Star Trek DS9! We hope you're all ready folks! Let's go! 30/06/2021 Duração: 01h14minZorro, the legendary swordsman, has passed on his weapon and his sense of duty to his noble son, Diego (George Hamilton), a dashing swashbuckler like his father. But after an injury sidelines Diego, he is forced to hand the mask over to his flamboyantly gay twin, Ramon (also Hamilton), who prefers to be called Bunny Wigglesworth. While Ramon agrees to take on the guise of Zorro, he decides to add his own flair, with garishly glittering costumes -- and a whip in place of the iconic sword. Reel Feels is both celebrating and wrapping up Pride Month with our LGBTQ genre film, a pick that Nathan has cherished since childhood, 1981's "Zorro: The Gay Blade"! George Hamilton is outstanding in this film and we had a great time watching it. A first watch for Drew and Jack and they were not disappointed. The quick witted lines, banter of the characters and who can forget the colorful outfits? 16/06/2021 Duração: 01h28minEd Harris and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio are formerly married petroleum engineers who still have some issues to work out. They are drafted to assist a gung-ho Navy SEAL (Michael Biehn) with a top-secret recovery operation: a nuclear sub has been ambushed and sunk, under mysterious circumstances, in some of the deepest waters on Earth. We get our feet wet with this late 80's sci-fi staple. This is a favorite that host Jack very much enjoys and was super eager to share it with us. We discuss the history of the filming, which reported accounts say was a nightmare. The early CGI and a wonderful score by a talented individual, Alan Silvestri. Ed Harris gives a wonderful performance and we can't forget Michael Biehn being super crazy! But we can't forget that Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio is the "bitch" that we all love to remember. So suit up Reel Feels fans and get ready to dive deep... into The Abyss. We are the Reel Feels Podcast, every other Wednesday we'll bring you a new movie with all the feels you

John (Ron Eldard) and Tommy (Billy Crudup) grow up to be hit men who recognize their abuser years later and kill him. Their trial is prosecuted by another member of their gang, who is now the assistant DA. We're happy to have our "first" Patreon episode of Season 4: Fellowship of the Feels. One of the newest members to the Reel Feels Patreon Family, Mario, has chosen a film that he truly has the feels for and is dead set on having us review. 1996's "Sleepers" is... whew... heavy is probably the only word for it. There's no denying the talent of the cast, the writing is well done and even the music by podcast favorite John Williams. But man, oh man, this was a rough watch due to the subject matter. Still Mario brought to some of us a first time watch and we're always excited to see what our patrons have in store for us. We are the Reel Feels Podcast, eve

Let's head on back to 90's for what can be considered the peak of comedy for Jim Carrey! The Reel Feels guys are gushing nostalgia with this film from the physical comedy, the quotable lines, and of course... Jennifer Tilly. Host Jack has provided a truly heavy and honest film that weighs on our hearts. We kid you not, that first 30 minutes... grab them tissues Reel Feels fans. But this film is great.
